Dressrosa

How would you have fix it?

I'd fix one piece by axing it after marineford

get rid of every scene that doesn't have doflamingo

Kill off Luffy then make Nami the MC

Split up Sugar's sponge of powers into different characters. Let her keep the "turning into toys" thing, but give Diamante the erasure fruit or something that lets him erase memories - thus also giving that little bit more narrative weight to the Kyros vs Diamante fight.
Then take away Sugar's mind control thing and make that Doffy's ability, as he already has the ability to control people with strings, which is easier for him to do if the people are also turned into toys. This way you remove the bird cage as the ticking time bomb of the arc, and transition that narrative role to the entirety of Dressrosa trying to kill each other under the influence of Parasito, while Luffy has to beat down Doflamingo.

Thus Doflamingo keeps his flair as a puppet master, rather than him being a hunky brawler like almost every other arc boss. Have Doflamingo controlling people be more relevant to the final conflict.

Remove 90% of Doffy's minions. They're all terrible but he's cool.

Wow well done user, I enjoyed Dressrosa but this is an immaculate answer

Thanks. It is largely inspired by how fascinating I found Doffy's pre-TS appearances as a kid, and I always hoped Dressrosa had much more of that. On top of that Sugar always annoyed me for being such a bloated plot-device.

Remove Orlombus and Hajrudin until Elbaf. Let Ideo have a moment to shine and focus more on him rounding up the other random martial artists for his shitty crew.

Oda needs to hurry the fuck up

But there is nothing to fix aside of it's length. I would say its the best OP arc to date. Wano might be better we will see.

Wan Piss went to shit after Alabasta

Wano already fell flat on it's face due to the mediocre or downright shit first 2 acts. There's not a whole lot Oda could do to salvage it, and even if he did people would just ignore them and say only act 3 was good.

>win after win after win
>manly tears
I never realized that 2008 was still so 2000s.

Act 1 and Act 3 are good. Only Act 2 is shit

>went to shit after alabasta
>your entire pic is nonstop dicksucking of water seven
what did you mean by this?

He's a nostalgiafag who doesn't realize CP9 arc is longer than Dressrosa

Not really, he shouldn't rush his life's work. It will eventually be done, no need to hurry and make it worse for it.

remove rebeca
and kyros
and that diaper faggot
and every flashback
and let zoro go out at the end vs Fujiora

Very nice. I honestly liked the birdcage though, til it was just everyone pushing their laser beams at his laser beams. The panic and backstabbing game stuff was some of the best parts.

>Rewritten due to some errors
I would include Punk Hazard and Dressrosa in the same arc. Let Caesar have his lab directly on Dressrosa and have the Strawhats meet Law there. They beat everyone in 10-15 chapters but the fight is noticed by Doffy who attacks them. Scrap the coliseum fight and have the future Strawhat fleet pirates be slaves or toys or regular pirates that are there to buy weapons. The whole arc is similarly written but shouldnt be more than 80 chapters long.

Punk Hazard was good though, don't drag that down with this shit. You don't need to carry Caesar into Dressrosa though.

Make it not be Alabasta 2.0.
Don't nerf Doflamingo. Make his fight with Luffy not as one sided as it was.
Reduce the lenght of the flashbacks. Do we really need a sob story for every fucking character?
Axe half of the side characters.
Make Doflamingo's crew not shit.
Have Robin do something for once.
Make Fujitora not an absolute retard

>PH
>Good
This was were most people began to drop OP.
Its 46 chapters long. One Piece needs faster pace in the story telling so just be done with it and tell Caesars story in 30 less chapters.

People began to drop OP in Skypiea

PH was good and seemed much shorter than it was, unlike every other arc since which seems a million times longer than their actually long length. Should honestly just drop every single arc til it's over and play catch up, this is some bullshit on a weekly.

That is true kek. I meant post TS where Fishman island was already seen as a disappointment. An interesting yet fast paced arc such as Dressrosa and Punk Hazard combined would have kept the readers more interested.

>Seemed short
I am patient but PH was boring to read. It's some mad scientist on an island who works for a big bad boss. Keep the characters and outline and rush through it.

It would have payed hommage to his psychotic nature even better than the cake desu
In the cage he can only control panicked people to a certain extend. Your suggestion feels more personal

Based.

Add Donald Trump as Doflamingo, turn Riku into Al Gore and have Kyros be Obama.
There's your fix.

Creative fatigue is inevitable at this point. I love and hate the fact that this could have worked better

>there are to this day people who can watch the anime
I can't understand. there's some adaptations and series where I get it and there's something to be experienced, One PIece is not that adaptation. the anime has nothing of value, it's slow paced, monotonous, completely lacking the life and flavor of the manga. it doesn't even have the cute little backstory intros showing what past characters and villains are doing in other parts of the world like the manga like Enel's space pirate fighting adventure.

enies lobby saga (combination of arcs) vs one single arc

>remove rebeca
>and kyros
>and that diaper faggot
Senor Pink's backstory is the most memorable and touching moment of Dressrosa, with Mr Soldier's at a close second.

>dying wife
is all i remember , to each their own
