I would be more worried about the shit they could add. I watched the first two episodes for the first time in who knows how, and I was surprised at how shit was the adaptation on every single level besides soundtrack.

yeah they cut out a shit load of things especially Orihime's scenes and even a few of Renji and Rukia's scenes. Thsoe story times have really enlightened me to how big Rukiafags the studio is you just know her bankai is going to get some god tier animation

It's literally what he did, all the damn time. How well Tite integrated the hooks into the story is debatable, but he rarely retconned shit. Aizen, and Soul Society's structure are the big retcons he actually did. Beyond that, he loved leaving shit unexplained to later craft an "explanation" to fit the current arc or, you know, plot hooks.

Final arc needs to be drawn out and loose ends need to be properly tied up this time. Some fights could use the filler to feel more impactful. So much shit was rushed.
