well OP, it's simply because linkies hype up the product and so does the chainlink team by having misleading posts on their twitter and whatnot.
the whole t-systems thing, the post made it out to be some insane partnership, then everyone here was talking about the market cap of deutsche telekom and how huge they are and how big this is, but nothing happened. and for good reason, t-systems is just providing data. this costs them nothing and is no risk at all to see what's what with this. they work with other crypto projects as well. basically throwing shit at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.
