Kratos' arc was learning that his destruction and righteous rage solved nothing, and GW4 was him atoning for all the innocents he killed by teaching Atreus not to become like he was (which is portrayed as tragic because he's destined to do just that anyway). Samefag, but looking at the video again it would fully make sense if the egg represents Mikasa or at least a part of her too. The song also starts with a quote of her while the egg sits on the field looking to the landscape. I know she is hated here but you have to admit the past chapters did spent quite some time on her trying to figure out Eren's motivations and making up her mind on how she will respond to them.
