We recently got air of the LINK scandal. It is indeed Simeon and 2 other guys within the firm. People here are very unhappy with his gamble. This has nothing to do with our core business. Company is in full damage control mode. Simeon and the 2 guys are now regarded as parias and have until august 3d to fix this situation. Their bet is heavily underwater as well.

I got hired 8 months ago in BG. From what I have heard the damage is mainly financial. Big big loss. Unhedged short, which again has NOTHING to donwith our core business. Nobody except for link holders knows nexo is involved. There was however a call with the chainlink team. But no official involvement has been admitted. We are now doing an internal investigation (we are not, we know it was Simeon and his mates).

They can add collateral or borrow more link and it changes the liq point, not sure where to see this though

Simeon has shorted other coins, albeit in smaller quantities. We have an internal 'trading desk' (too big of a word) that is allowed to use our assets to make some extra income. He already built down his position with a loss, he bought LINK OTC and plain on binance. It is quite a small position now, and the loss is hard to make up for with the remaing short.
