GS clearly sells better than Kadokawa's isekaishit so where the fuck is season 2?

There's not a single good show listed there. Do the 4 series share the same fans?
Rape and piss sell well. Who would've guessed?
There are countless of "true edge" series in Japan and they don't even sell a fraction of what GS does.
Average it between volumes
I don't know, look for it. But does it really matter when the other series have had way more years of backlog sales?
Where do these numbers come from?
According to recent release numbers GS sells ~20k LN volumes per new release and ~70k manga volumes per new release.
Meanwhile for Overlord it's 200k LN volumes per new release and ~70k manga volumes per new release. That's a difference of 180k.
>more years of backlog sales?
It stops being counted when it starts selling less than 10k a week, I think
ln-news.com
Overlord manga doesn't even sell half of GS manga does, btw.
When a series hits "X" milestone they are counting all not just the new release.
>Isekaitrash sells less
Maybe there's hope for Japan
If only, Slimeshit still sells more than all of them.
That's why you count them in average per volume
Ah, it's possible. recent shown manga sales figures in general tend to be a bit deflated due to KnY backlogs taking so much space. I do remember that Goblin Slayer used to reach 200k or so sales per new volume, though it's also possible that interest for Goblin Slayer either declined recently or has gone more digital.
It makes sense for the GS novels to sell better digitally than physically because the covers are nothing special compared to Overlord ones where it is worthy to have them physically since they do have great art on the covers.
from the quality of season 1 it's clear Kado doesn't care about GS
or Overlord for that matter, both of them had shit animes.
Konosuba had DEEN so it's a miracle it ended up decent, and mostly on the basis of writing
GS is from G.A. not kadokawa, I just mentioned it because its series are spammed to hell and back while GS has almost no advertisement and still sells.
>Kadokawa's
There's your problem. What Kadokawa has or does is irrelevant. Goblin Slayer sells like trash compared to Danmachi(12m copies sold as of 6/19) by the same publisher so SB Creative's focus is there instead.
Isekaibros and Native-isekaibros stick together.
Danmachi sold 6M in the first 4 years so GS is already doing slightly better and even if it weren't ignoring your second best selling series is not really a smart move.
Because it fucking sucks once the novelty wore off it is just generic shit
>There's not a single good show listed there.
faggot
They have to pace it well to avoid the potential flash floods. Umehara voicing a brood and emotionally distant protagonist is too much for japanese pussy, having too many seasons in a row would definitely turn Japan into Venice.... the water damage's real bro.
I can't put my finger on it, but you're right. I like an isekai series... until I don't and it happens everytime. Might be something to do with the authors being relatively inexperienced and lack the fineness to keep a series engaging, or know when to start wrapping things up as it's their first success so they want it to last for a while.
There's only so much exposition one can take before it starts falling flat and uncovering how the author can't drive a plot for long. Those shows really don't move forward much, and I blame those on trying to emulate MMOs because of their permanent nature. It's hard to make long-lasting stories that don't depend on motw-type builds.
>Native-isekai
Kys
The idiots who like Goblin Slayer are retards with no taste and class.
>2 years later and still seething.
And I thought it was going to forgotten like some fags said while it was airing.
The problem is that the one behind the anime is SoftBank who is the LN publisher, but most of the sales numbers are thanks to the manga which is published by Square Enix. So the anime committee is most likely consisting mostly of LN interest groups, hence it's doubtful whether the manga sales even matter here.
>GS clearly sells better than Kadokawa's isekaishit so where the fuck is season 2?
No source material they adapt the manga (Goblin Crown being the exception), not the novel. The show already adapted all the released chapters, it's going to take two years to have enough material for another season.
>SoftBank
A question. SoftBank is the one that made that shitty GS game that is just a fruit ninja clone, Can Square Enix make a GS game if they only have the rights to the manga?
Not sure how much of an issue that is, SE seems to handle the manga adaptations for all of Softbank's LN series. There's obviously some sort of business partnership.
Yeah, a lot of publishers don't like to animate past the manga adaptation. Just a question of how much it applies in this case.
