>wanted to make japan great and powerfull by using modern methods and development
>is considered a demon lord/evil alignment in all his apperances in anime
Why does japan hate him so?
Wanted to make japan great and powerfull by using modern methods and development
If they hated him they wouldn't have him appear in every anime/game set in sengoku jidai.
>>is considered a demon lord/evil alignment in all his apperances in anime
Do you even watch anime?
>Why does japan hate him so?
The don't. He is sometimes called a demon lord affectionately because he referred to himself that way.
They're jelous about his 4 meter invencible jealous En.
Wanting to make the country you are ruling over powerful isnt exactly some selfless goal.
>japan hatesd Nobunaga
Are you out of your mind?
>He is sometimes called a demon lord affectionately because he referred to himself that way.
He called himself that as bantz against corrupt monks and it just stuck because he was that much of a chad.
He is like an anti-hero or villain depending on your perspective. He is unlawful and a rebel but had some practical ideas. Him being a villain is a holdover from how Japanese lords irl disliked him for disobeying the tradition and honor. Because he was a violent usurper.
Other than Drifters, what are his best appearances in manga ?
>is considered a demon lord/evil alignment in all his apperances in anime
>i.e I haven't watched much anime
Japan doesn't hate him? If anything Akechi is looked down on as nothing more than a dog
Also the demon is not something lowly as it is in the West. Demon in the East is basically the entrance to Godhood
>manga
Japan doesnt hate him at all. He unified Japan at the end of the day.
hyouge mono
They don't hate him. They show their respect by making him uber strong.
best antagonist of the series, Hideyoshi Mitsunari and Ieyasu a shit
>implying they hate the man who unified japan
He is literally called the demon LORD of the sixth heaven OP, he's essentially hard deified according to them.
They don't really hate him but he was kind of a giant asshole and he went medieval on buddhist ikko-ikki so maybe that's why
>Both are infamous
>loves western shit
>full-use of firearms on their soldiers because they knew it was OP
I wish Nobunaga and Masamune have met earlier.
Nobunaga started the trend of Japan solving its problems by pragmatism, meritocracy and western techniques rather than muh Yamato honor and Japan is still butthurt for that. Through Japanese history, they always act like Nobunaga in times of crisis but go back to muh tradition when things stabilize. See the Meiji Restauration seriously discussing democracy for ending on a militar dictatorship or post-war Japan having a strong left-wing movement for ending into the dictatorship of the LDP. Quoting Shusaku Endo, Japan is a swamp
What the fuck is this helmet, I always thought it was an original design by Dark Souls 1
i was literally just watching clips of this series randomly on yt
It's a real European helmet. There was a king who needed glasses, so he had it made.
He's basically the Cao Cao of Japan
>Akechi
We still don't know the reason of his betrayal up until now
Napoleon was Nobunaga's French version.
But he started off with a unified country.
Because he fucking genocided those priests.
Shit nigga what do we do.
Oh wait
He isn't hated
They have next to no similarities besides both of them being ambitious which is an extremely generic similarity especially for their eras, it's just Koei-Tecmo that forces some sort of similarity for whatever reason (I think Nobunaga did maybe praise Cao Cao but he didn't style himself after him and wasn't similar at all)
>rather than muh Yamato honor
literally no one in the Sengoku era abided by muh yamato honor though
there was a lot of texts about muh honor written during the edo period all written by bored samurai who either hadn't seen combat in years or hadn't seen combat ever and had nothing better to do
also loads of armies in Sengoku japan used guns and western tech, I think it's mainly because he fucked up the Sanada clan with his formations so hard that he's associated so heavily with it
>Sanada
Takeda
It's not like it's completely ununderstandable.
Nobunaga shit on a ton of traditions, was more of a tyrant than most other leaders, and treated him fairly poorly.
people have rebelled for far less.
Pompey fought against Caesar because the senate complimented him.
>S2 never ever
Will never not be mad.
Can't help being a demon
Because Ieyasu won, it's simple as that.
He’s a controversial figure because while he undeniably improved living conditions in Japan, he also contributed to Japan’s westernisation.
Sengoku Basara and hyouge mono are the only good Sengoku series everything is gag anime or turns everyone into a girl for cum brains.
I love Sengoku Basara. I had the time of my life importing and playing the games. Too bad the franchise hasn't shown signs of life in the last years.
