It's my favorite arc.
I also think that One Piece is still good after time skip and One Piece General threads are full of snarky jaded cynical old men suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, making them the absolute worst threads in Zig Forums.

Based user. Skypia is peak one piece

It's nice, but it isn't peak One Piece
When it was coming out I was buying all of the tanks, following WSJ, and enjoying it, but when life started going tits up I didn't mind dropping manga for a few years.
Didn't get around to catching up on One Piece again until 2015, where I finished it.
Felt nice to follow it weekly back then and felt like a good place to hop back into years later.
Not an arc I revisit often, but it does carry that classic pre-time-skip feeling that's always a pleasure to return to

I hated it when I first read it because
>hurr no new nakama is filler
But as I got older I began appreciating it more and more for its unique qualities, and now I've finally come to understand that it's the single best thing in One Piece.

It was kino

Based user
But I honestly didn't enjoy Skypiea too incredibly much. The setting of a cloud kingdom is really interesting, but the execution was really boring. Less like Baten Kaitos' cloud world, more like Vietnam jungle warfare.

Enel was the best OP villain relative to his limited screentime
He carried an ark that felt disconnected from the rest of the story because of its setting

I can' suspend by disbelief that Enel didn't rape Nami when had a chance.

Trash. It's dumb that Luffy who has absolutely nothing personal against the majority of the big bads steps in to defeat them every time. If Wan Piss had any respect for its side characters or sense of organic storytelling, then Wyper would have killed Enel.

Peak shounen. Haven't read a shounen arc that good since Hunter x Hunter

Enel is one of the best antagonists in OP but his priests were all garbage
Overall I really enjoyed it, but it was kind of lame how an arc based in the clouds mostly took place in the jungle

you cant kill a god

Skypiea is still the best One Piece arc. Dressrosa had the setup to pass it, but kinda shit the bed

took a fucking decade

filtered.
Also, by the time Skypiea was running on the magazine, RxM was getting BTFO by the big 3.
Cope

Best arc and was a perfect follow up to Jaya. One of the few arcs to truly embrace the adventure and romance which is what One Piece is all about.

>YAHAHAHAHA MUGIWARA
>DO YOU THINK I'LL LET YOU RING THE BELL?

Hey remember when Kurapika could have crushed Chrollo's heart at any point and just didn't?

I'm not a fightfag so I consider Skypiea really good cus of kino moments and that includes Jaya but on the other hand, it villains were bland and uninteresting (minus Enel) alongside Skypieans and it was the first time I actually felt like the pacing was terrible.

he received an urgent call from TOGASHI SENSEI and called off the whole revenge thing.
Though he did hear a faint "I wonder when Dragon Quest 12 is coming out" from Togashi's line.

Fate threads are the worst. Soulless, humorous, and full of angry and unhappy people who argue over things they've been arguing about for 15 years, without a hint of irony about the fact that they've been arguing over the same shit for 15 fucking years.

Dragon Ball threads are unironically the best. It's actually kind of incredible, but the fanbase elevates an extremely mediocre show like Super, by just producing tons and tons of high quality OC.

Soulless, humorless*

user I know you want to jab at huntards and all but the only mainline Dragon Quest game that came out as Yorknew was going on was Dragon Quest 7 in 2000, Dragon Quest 8 wasn't out until 2004.

The story was cool but I didnt like the whole sky island thing. It just seemed souless for some reason the way the citizens and the city felt. Gods forest was fucking kino tho

>Sky Island
>Soulless
>In ANY setting
get your shit together user, sky islands are the epitome of soul

This. People act like One Piece took a fucking nose dive in quality when it's remained fairly steady for 20+ years.

Hard agree. Fate threads fucking suck.

kinda agree w this. i wish we got to know the citizens of Skypiea a little more. the tribe felt way more fleshed out, but there is really not much i could tell you about Conis and Pagaya.

This. Read though on weekly release I did not like it. My first reread it became my favorite arc. Pure adventure. Good fights. All you could ask for.

I stopped watching right after anime it just felt too slow for me

But they hated user because he spoke the truth

anyone have that image with all of carrots lines in wano so far?

Not my favorite arc, but based anyways.

>People act like One Piece took a fucking nose dive in quality when it's remained fairly steady for 20+ years.
It is the same series it was 15 years ago. They are not only blind by nostalgia, but also in Stockholm Syndrome because the series doesn't have an ending yet. These guys will be trapped in the generals until the end of the series and they will shit in it until them.

If you are into the series for adventure, it's peak adventure.

And the enemy is a "God" with a non-generic RPG swordsman fighting it. In fact quite the opposite, it's a rubber dude. So the fighting is quite enthralling as well.

I'm highly convinced Wano will be better than both it and Alabasta etc. though, and those arcs have been favorites of mine for 10+ years.
