no

Crystal made the original Manga look like shit. Fuck Crystal. No personality, no ambition, nothing. Stick to the original anime, avoid Crystal shit.

theres no point in calling Usagi fat anymore, she isn't even close to being wide framed like in the original series

More like is there any anime that improves from the manga

Crystal was not a reimagining of the old anime.
It was just a different (worse) adaptation of the same material.
The same is true for most other anime "remakes".
Devilman Crybaby was not a remake of the original Devilman anime. Just a horrible adaptation.
HxH 2011 was not a remake of HxH 1999.
FMA Brotherhood was not a remake of the FMA anime from.
Cutie Honey Flash, Re and Universe are not remakes of the 1973 Cutie Honey. (Shin is a sequel though.)
The several Gegege no Kitarou series are no remakes of the first anime.

As far as straight-up sequels go, those are rare anyway. But a good example for a sequel that's often considered superior to the original would be Lupin III Part 2 (and arguably 3, 4 and 5).

>Crybaby is hated
wut?

Crybaby is bullshit. It ruins the themes and characters of the manga.
Pretty much no Nagai fan likes it.

I'd say Jojo. At least I can tell what's going on most of the time, unlike in manga.

Yes

HxH. The only improvement the old version was the Yorkshin arc

Crybaby is either disliked or basically completely forgotten at this point. The few that like it are too rare

depends if you just want to talk about crystal was shit and was dropped for that reason none of the fans liked it.
Studio : We are going to remake the series making it like it should have been done in the first place 100% manga based (original manga)
Fans : Yes we are going to get a proper sailor moon with the real transformation after years of shitty original sailor moon.
Manga : Transformation even for a shoujo are made to attract male public, skirts extremelly shorts, navel showing, panties showing, they have just a bra.
Crystal Anime: Longer skirts, transformation should be princess oriented so really long skirts and avoid pantyshots,it will be a shoujo oriented anime instead of what author showed in the manga since is too perverted (remember sailor princess transformation she was with a see through dress so not happening) lot of content can't be made since this is shoujo oriented.
I had the original manga thing was hotter then the old anime is kinda laughable that the closest another artist aproached was a doujin author.
what is more laughable is that al people think there is only one manga when there are 3 version of the same story with changes on desing for example there is one manga called from TV Animation Sailor Moon.

i have watched the gegege no kitaro anime and all share the same stories with minimal changes based on year, the last remake is hard to know.
Gegege no kitaro main stories are from first anime and second anime from the 60smost remakes are based on either of those yet latest one start with part of one anime then takes part of the other so is confusing.
2004 and 2007 are fine and really funny and i loved neko musume there

Mob.

The point that none of them are remakes has nothing to do with how similar the storylines are. It's that all the anime are adaptations of the same manga. In other words, when they make a new Kitaro anime, they don't look at an older anime and try to remake that one, they look at the 1960s manga. At least I assume that they do.

but they are remakes and improve on original well only talking of kitaro before the latest version,i liked the stories most have minimal changes (i watched 4 generations of kitaro and all are the same either anime version A or anime version B) and quality improved in most cases and nope not nostalgia

>but they are remakes
What makes you think that? I admit, I haven't ever read the manga, but I'm pretty sure that all major similarities between the different anime are also shared with the manga. In which case all of them simply adapt that, and do not remake one another.

people like to say Yamato did, but I still prefer the original. The remake is pure coomer bait.

DBZ.

VN but... Kono Suba lives on the voice acting. Also a lot of 4-koma basically become new shows. I never bothered with it, but supposedly K-ON is a lot better than it's manga.

HunterxHunter

Seto no Hanayome. It tidies the story up a bit and sheds some one-off characters.

Majutsushi Orphen, arguably. 1998 was awfully animated and had tons of filler. 2020 cut out a lot of adventures from the manga and had a thoroughly uninteresting final fight, but was considerably better animated and a much better watch.

does it have a chance?

Digimon

Yu Yu Hakusho

Yozakura Quartet

Shingeki no Kyojin

Ash looks like he has a messed up Salvador Dali moustache.

>is there any Anime that actually improves with a sequel / reimagining ?

Fruits Basket

>implying the manga was any good
aside from maybe a few story arcs the manga was dull as shit and the art was ugly too.

90s anime/ live action and musicals are the best ways to get into sailor moon
