What’s this character archetype called
Ian Green
Asher Davis
The Aryan
Asher Fisher
I only read Berserk and Jojo of the anime on here, but I assure you both were entirely wrong
Nathan Garcia
pyschos
Xavier Smith
Il Presidente and Griffith are the only two commonalities there
Oberstein's just socially awkward and cutthroat. Johan is some kinda spoopy wunderkind with impossible charisma who doesn't really want to do anything in particular.
Michael Anderson
"What they did was morally wrong, but I don't blame them for what they did"
Josiah Roberts
El presidente
Zachary Butler
Griffith unironically did nothing wrong. Sure what he did was fucked up, but I would do it too. Who wouldn't?
There's no "wrong" way to achieve your dreams and goals, becoming some leather-bird demon or not.
Austin Moore
Brooding faggot
(not including Chadentine)
Carson Hall
-and slaughtering your childhood friends, maiming your best friend, and raping his girlfriend right in front of him for it.
Jaxon Richardson
Agree, but the whole damning them to hell forever and then raping your best friends girl in front of him was a bit overboard...
Jaxson Watson
>t. Griffith
Austin Peterson
The bad character archetype?
Griffith's relationship with Guts was not fleshed out at all, they had like 4 actual conversations in total. Griffith's goal was super generic and not developed at all, why did he care so much about being the ruler, how much it meant to him etc. There seems to be some consensus among the fandom that GA is great, despite it being mediocre. I guess anything seems good compared to what comes after that.
Valentine zpends 3/4 of the story being nothing but a fat, less threatening, less iconic Shadow DIO, doing nothing but sending random jobbers after the heroes. There basically isn't a fat Valentine scene that's memorable - what have you got? He can't be a good villain when he isn't even a fucking character for most of the story.
I hated how they portrayed Johan as having this superhuman ability to manipulate huge numbers of people into having total unquestioning admiration towards him to the point where they will kill others and themselves but this ability is shown to be total bullshit like him giving Roberto a cup of cocoa which he could not possibly in any way have known would affect Roberto so much, even getting past the question of how he found Roberto in the first place, how getting a cup of cocoa can turn someone into your undyingly loyal soldier forever, and a whole host of other questions. Monster is like the ultimate example of something "smart" being written by someone who isn't smart enough to pull it off so it's filled with these dumb shortcuts and detours and unresolved plot points.
Pic related is what the real peak of antagonists looks like.
Landon Phillips
I'm sure at this point in the story he would want to turn things back to the way they were. He has no real companionship, everyone fears him or is a yes man to him.
Gabriel Adams
>speed reading hunterfag
Why am I not surprised
Kevin Barnes
>to the way they were
He would have been a cripple getting fed by casca in some random house in a random remote village.
Tyler Young
Dumb people sympathize with fake sociopaths.
Adrian Jones
everyone on that list did plenty wrong.
Justin Allen
>Pic related is what the real peak of antagonists looks like.
Real antagonists sit around playing board games with a cripple for 75% of their existence before getting assassinated?
The Royal Guard were better villains
Owen Myers
before that, dummy
Aiden Richardson
Shame on you, user. Go watch LotGH right now.
Evan Green
ESTO EL FIN MERGE
EL PRESIDENTE
Christopher Robinson
based
Ryan Thompson
Based Hunterchad.
Asher Peterson
based mergefag
Ethan Johnson
>zpends
>IESLB
William Perez
How so? their only motivation was to protect the king due to instincts that they can't even control. At least the Mereum can actually think for himself and change his perspective. The Royal guard were 1 dimensional as fuck. Although i'm not really a fan of the whole "but the humaniteez were da real bed guise", especially after all the shit every single ant does, including the "good ones like Hawk boy and Ant gurl.
Gabriel Thompson
Doing something the average person would do does not mean morally right. Killing the band of the hawk was objectively a immoral decision.
And you can not justify him raping Casca.
Carson Martin
In my experience the Griffith did nothing wrong posters are either people are mad the Objective morality doesn't exist so they through the baby out with the bathwater and decide that being a moral is easier and will yield better results. Edgy fake sociopaths basically. Or they are baiting.
Cooper Green
Oberstein literally did nothing wrong though.
Aaron James
The "did nothing wrong"
