Time for actual discussion. Do you think the parallelism with Goku's SS awakening is trying to show the difference between SS and UI (explosion of rage vs control of emotions like Merus said) or will Goku combine the best of both worlds and go beyond UI?

Beyond emotion and beyond instinct (whatever that may be).
I just hope Toyotaro doesn't use it yet because to round out the SS vs UI symbolism is a pretty good capstone for the franchise.

I am expecting there to be some form that is somehow UI but better, but we probably won’t see (or even hint at) it until the next arc. Super Saiyan with UI on top of it sounds like it would just make Goku into a literal God, but Super Saiyan with Blue was extremely underwhelming compared to what people expected so who knows

That said, SS being triggered by rage is just one way of activating/achieving it for the first time. They actually don't need any emotion to activate it afterwards.

Nice dubs Bro. Honestly I feel like this would be a huge power up for goku and will finally allow him to be able to challenge jiren to a 1v1 when he is is God mode. Although the outcome is very clear that goku will still have a lot to learn even after having these two powerups. Vegeta with those powerups on the other hand would destroy jiren

But super saiyan originally need a trigger too until it didn't. And angels can use UI without a trigger.

I think it's this one. Ever heard of canalizining rage?
Now that I think about it Goku should technically be able to attain SS + UI since he achieved complete mastery on SS back on the Cell Saga, meaning he no longer needs rage to activate the form and he's completely calm when using it.

Wasn’t there some thing about Goku not being able to use the spirit bomb as a super saiyan since his heart isn’t completely pure when he transforms, or was just some headcanon that got passed around the internet a decade ago?

Let's use drinking from the same cup as an example

If two people are using energy beams, the energy from the beam would evaporate and destroy the bodily fluids. Therefore, a mouth beam struggle DOES NOT count as an indirect kiss.

Corollary: if the energy beam is weak/fast enough to not evaporate and destroy the bodily fluids and either the fluids mix and or the fluids come in contact with the loser of the beam struggle it would be an indirect kiss.

That's true, we do have "Cell Saga" representation in them.
But Cell himself clearly has strong popularity with fans to this day, seeing the community's response to FighterZ as well as the Abridged series. And it'd be hard for there to be a theoretical "Gohan returns to prominence" arc without mentioning him.

Yeah I remember this one.
It was a controversy regarding the Super Android 13 movie, Goku gathers energy to form a spirit bomb and then absorbs it in SS form.
People were speculating about if this could really be done or not since he's not pure of heart when in SS and should not be able to control it. There was also a theory about if SS Goku (Pre-Cell) could be mindcontrolled by Babidi like Veveta was.

I would think Toriyama is seriously retarded. Cell is a guy with the potential of Goku, Vegeta and Frieza.
