I doubt they're stronger than 5th seats. Remember, even lower ranked like 5th-7th seats have a Shikai. I do not see wizards/witches being stronger than someone with a Shikai.

Technically, we don't know when this happened. Would be interesting if there were some cross referencing or lead ins. Like say perhaps in a very distant arc, the London unit invades the Quincy home territory while the Sereitei is getting fucked. Percy Jackson series did some similar style retconning when the author introduced Roman gods.

Looking at OP's pic, I'm trying to decide if I'm overly horny or he designed this to be horny inducing on purpose.

Everything in this series could easily happen after the events of Bleach. Would just be like the Soul Society to create a new European branch to obsessively spy over the homeland of their now most hated enemies and alert them to any potential dangers and execute them before they became too dangerous. And the fact our main protagonists seem to be quasi-humans like Ichigo rather than pure spirits seems to imply this.

The series is out now with a movie adaptation in october.

Sorry, but I only read manga with great character designs, so maybe my standards are just too high for this run of the mill shounenshit.
