I've stalled on the light novels because of how much I hated the shepherdess and the black knight. it took me like a year to finish it. I really should have skipped it and just started the strife books, but I couldn't bring myself to do it
still, I recommend reading the books to anyone who hasn't. I recommend looking up the alternate reading order that places the side stories chronologically, and I also recommend skipping the shepheredess and the black knight if you find reading from a dog's point of view to be insufferable
