Can we all agree that after the introduction of Susanoo most fights (with a few exceptions like Kakashi vs Obito) sucked?
Characters stopped using ninja tools, strategy and trickery. Battles were about which character had the biggest chakra dick.

Just to be clear I agree susanoo was bad for naruto, but the fights used tactics up until the end.
Personally I think susanoo should not have been used in naruto and Kishimoto should have just made it the power system in his next manga.

In a way yes. What ruined Naruto was the ridiculous powercreep centered around eye powers, of which Susanoo was a part of. The basic Susanoo could have still been worked around, but when Madara turned it into a giant mech that could cut mountains there was nothing more that could have been done.

No… while Sasuke’s personality and design were somewhat inspired by Hiei and his Jagan eye from Yu Yu Hakusho(also Togashi’s work), Sasuke is primarily based on the protagonist of a classic ninja manga titled…Sasuke (duh!). The manga by Sanpei Shirato also revolves arround a ninja getting revenge for his slaughtered family. And also the sharingan, while differing in functio was the name of the magic eye of the character Jiraiya from another classic Japanese novel from two hundred years ago, in which Jiraiya’s clan also gets massacred when he was young because the Tsukikage convinces the shogunate that the Ogata clan(Jiraiya’s clan) is plannin a coup d’etat.
Also the name Sasuke itself is a thing about ninja pop-culture!
TLDR; Characters who have eye powers and clan massacre are common staples of ninja storyline and also several Japanese folklore. HxH didnt invent it but many outside Japan would’t know I guess.

Remember when high-level Ninjutsu like the Water Dragon Jutsu required dozens of hand-signs? Or when Haku was special because he only needed one hand to do jutsus? Naruto really started to go downhill when characters casually pulled high-level jutsus (including Water Dragon) instantly, with the lack of hands not even being an issue sometimes.
