They're bringing back Kenji Kawai and the old DEEN OST, but what are chances for new tracks or possibly bringing some of the VN music to the anime?
Since DEEN's anime wasn't the full Higurashi package, it seems lacking in emotional and SoL tracks. It would make sense for them to compose at least a few new tracks right? They need something for the heartwrenching or tearjerking scenes that were cut or replaced with a dry (and sometimes edgy) tone.
I wonder if they can bring any Kai OST tracks in (rearrange if needed)? If they had Solitude and Confession for example, it would be awesome. I worry if it would be difficult to make them fit in, but it should work? Birth and Death... so many great tracks that were composed carefully and fit perfectly for the scenes they were used in. It would be amazing to hear at least some of them in the anime if they can make it work. It would save money too and I'm sure Ryukishi would be fine with them using it? (Or maybe it would be dai's decision?)

Yeah, I just mean the base themes. So far the remastering/updates are sounding good though! I want to hear the main theme again.
But they need to add new tracks as well... like the scene with Shion torturing Satoko, it had such beautiful music in the VN, I don't know what track they could use from DEEN OST to cover that scene. So hopefully they bring some VN tracks or make some new ones?
