How come the Lord was smart enough to come up with strategies, speak human language and have a backstory but the paladin was just a standard gobbo in armor?

Goblin lord was a veteran who survived a lot of battles and learned from both human and goblin mistakes, Gob Paladin was some random goblin until the God of wisdom gave him knowledge and Paladin powers.

Can't say we got to see much of that beyond the weapon forging. I just find it disappointing that the idea of an structured goblin society wasn't explored and the paladin wasn't fleshed out

No reason the god couldn't try it again, but if you're still looking at it from a tabletop perspective the DM is probably just seething that GS managed to fuck everything up again and will try another scheme. GS has gotta be a pain in the ass when Herohi and her band is already wrecking shit and ruining their other carefully laid plots

That is how i have always seen GS as well, just a tabletop game where one fo the characters is like "you know what? fuck your plot. I'm going to go kill goblins and only goblins and there is nothing you can do to stop me". Must've been a fucking hilarious session.

Well he's obviously not a player character, but I'd have to imagine Hero/Haruhi's OP ass party has to be doing something similar as well. Still funny when it happens though. My DM set up what he thought was going to be a difficult fight in a bar full of supposedly hardened gangsters, including a lady assassin armed with caster guns. We ended the session looting their corpses with barely a scratch between us. I like my new caster guns

I see it as being one of the players trying to come up with more reasons to only kill goblins. he friends even rolled alt eventually just to fuck around with him instead of killing the boring ass demon boss and that's where we get dwarfbro, lizardbro, and elf loli from. If you have ever seen If the emperor had a TTS device on youtube and saw the tabletop special, i imagine it being somewhat like that. They do it to spite their GM.
