>Let's hate someone because someone we hate likes that someone.
The most retarded assfuck ideal ever. His films are, well, not bad but I don't hate him because redditards like him

he's another globalist pedo

He's a communist

because his movies are pretentious as fuck
>b- b- but muh genius animation
>it's excessive and cluttered, lacking focus
>more detail =/= better
His early work are 10/10 kino, but spirited away can eat my entire ass.

It's because his movies are too accessible

>We
Anyway, I don't hate Miyazaki, he's just a disillusioned, grumpy old man like most people of his age, he just doesn't like to joke about it like Tomino or other more laid back geezers, so fags get mad because of his opinions.

-Normalfags don't get him because they're stupid, lazy and don't really understand anything.
-Zig Forums doesn't get him because they're too busy consuming the latest products and haven't even watched his stuff and only has opinionated talking points on him
-Real experts get him and understand that he is underrated and the greatest of all time (and that's a good thing)

cool dashpoints faggot

cringe
He is a hack.

While his movies are good, the opinions he holds are pretty ridiculous. Its honestly stupid to hate him, but I can't say I like him either.

I'm unironically a smelly, escapism-loving otaku. He hates people like me, so I have no obligation to like him.
>so you admit only hate him because you're a loser virgin manchild nerd etc etc!1!!!
Yes.

He is what Gundam is without the fighting robots; Nothing but anti-human faggotry and pseudo-environmentalism.

>we
People hate him because of people like you.

I hate him because he didn't stick to being a mangaka

I think that like most old school filmmakers Miyazaki has an inflated opinion of himself. Worse still, it was incredibly hypocritical for him to bitch and moan about the unfortunate state of Japan’s youth while at the same time he barely raised his son and acted more like a boss than a father
(Its no coincidence that the son in Goro’s film kills his father—a king. That wasnt in the book and it was barely elaborated on in the film. No doubt Miyazaki understood what Goro was saying and that led to his reaction, I.E. leaving for a smoke break like a dick)
But overall he has made good films. Nausicaa is easily one of the greatest manga of all time and thats not even getting into his really good films. Hes a complicated person, much like Walt Disney but (probably) with less sexual abuse of minors

Miyazaki doesn't really have an inflated opinion of himself. Despite the cult of personality, he does not enjoy being elevated to such a level. He is critical of his own material. I think he has much more personal interests and admires and doesn't really care about his own stuff more than most people realize.

He has way too many shitty hot takes.
That simple.

We don't hate him. Some people like him, others dislike him. Personally, I quite enjoy his films and I like the messages and themes they carry. I can understand though much of the criticism and where it's coming from. Regardless, stop making threads like this that try to catch attention due to their vast generalisations and trivialisations

Zig Forums is filled with loser otakus that's better off killing themselves. Based Miyazaki dabs all over them and they're seething that they're insignificant losers whose death won't be remembeted while the God of Anime will be immortalized.

Reminder that he tried to stomp his son to the ground for fear of being surpassed, which happened when Goro directed From up on Poppy Hill

He hates series and claims movies are the superior format.

>strong independent woman who don't need no land travel

Which takes of his are truly that controversial?

Anyway, I think his movies are fun but I don't understand people who believe they are like the Ulysses of the medium. There's not a whole lot to chew on (short of the visuals) in his movies.

we don't hate him, his works are just very accessible and entry-level simple
it's like saying your favorite director is Quentin Tarantino - sure, his films are good but only 12yo would agree with such statement, if you are into movies you eventually discover lynch, then kieslowski and then dig even deeper to get into true art, same with anime

>Quentin Tarantino - sure, his films are good
No, he just rip-offs movies he likes and adds feet scenes to them.

Its true

Zig Forums is literally a circlejerk.

You people are contrarians. You don't hold your own personal ideals. You're the opposite of other normal people. If they like something, you hate it because that's your whole point.

And it's true.

You're on 4channel now though
