I remember looking at them around late 2017/early 2018 and asked a friend who follows tech stuff more than I did at the time what he thought about them. "AMD is not an investable company. Nvidia killed them."

TSM rose another 10% or so yesterday on the news that Intel did a big order at TSM for 2021, combined with rumors that they might go fabless.
Today, it turned out it was just a one-time order becase INTC would be in serious trouble if they fucked up one of their current supercomputer contracts.
