>mandarins
I never understood their significance in that episode. When Kobayashi was eating one and failed to throw the peel into the trash bin, Tohru refused to get up and clean it up because she "can't right now". That alone might have been just her being lazy (which was a character development ironically enough), but then a few scenes later (21:00 exactly) Kobayashi lands the same throw and gets a flashback to when Tohru won their kotatsu by getting an orange/yellow ball out of the lottery, seemingly getting an epiphany.
How can this creature inspire horror in the hearts of men when she looks like this?
It's better than eating neighbors.
She's big and strong!
Kobayashi remembered the ball game that won them a kotatsu when she landed the mandarin peel throw, the word ball (tama, = ็) remembered her of otoshidama (ใๅนด็), a new year's gift (money). Then in the next scene, she gives said gift to Kanna and Tohru.
Also, what did Kobayashi mean by "go to the bathroom for me"?
It's just a saying, she was too lazy to go herself.
Naruhodo, I knew I was missing something obvious there
