ITT: God-tier visual direction
ITT: God-tier visual direction
ef is extremely underrated
There should be a bot that posts basedjacks in response to any post that has the words "visual direction" or any other autistic nonsense.
what? but visual direction is a thing, its the mix of storyboarding, color direction, and art direction, and I guess compositing too but that's more like the means
there's no "visual director" but the visual direction is usually inspired by the series director's ideas, and pretty much directly correlated with the layouts.
This literally just looks like something directed by Makoto Shinkai.
maybe because.. it was directed by makoto shinkai, retard.
It's not even from an anime, it's a VN OP directed by Shinkai.
Sorry if all anime you watch look like shit.
So this is the intelligence of wojack posters?
Woah.
It looks really pretty
I've always wondered why some VNs have animated openings. Isn't being cheap the name of the game?
Who do I have to pay to get Princess Tutu animated like that?
Man, that's pretty.
So much plot.
Well, it is lot cheaper when you have Shinkai with you since he does all the storyboard, most of the background art, a lot of the animation, directs and edits everything by himself.
This is the Michael Bay of anime
Where are all the explosions? I only see Kinography.
Go to bed, JJ
Stop making sense, it's just a buzzword.
It is. And it looks soulless as a result.
You hate. He succeeds.
And I wish him well. I just don't think he's the "new Miyazaki" that everyone memes him to be. He's quite the immature director.
People just say that because his movies got popular.
You're absolutely right. He's not the "new Miyazaki", that's stupid. He's something greater.
In case you're unsure where you are, I'll give you a hint: this isn't Zig Forums. Enjoy your stay and be mindful of board etiquette.
You're so mad.
wtf happened to Zig Forums this past month
It's hard to say. Half of the catalogue are sub-30 post threads. Something is definitely not right.

How can other "directors" even compete?
>How can other "directors" even compete?
By making good movies.
i mean props to him, he found a formula that panders to angst teens and as long as the visuals are there he will makes huge bucks without giving a shit about the story
