Typically Yuri anime has no plot aside from homolust. Even the Yaoi stuff will have something like swimming to focus on. There are no compelling stories for yuri because the author gets caught up in their porn fantasy or shoving being as cute as possible down the watcher's throat.

Objectively wrong. Yuri is just a subgenre of romance and romance anime are always inherently bad because they are boring. Say what you will about shounenshit or moeshit they actually have things to keep your interest that aren't "Will they or won't they." Not to mention that they generally have superior animation.

Given the way anime is funded, it is impossible for an anime to kill a studio. The studio gets paid no matter how badly the anime does. It takes multiple failures over a long period of time to give the studio a bad reputation to kill one.

I love this series to death but I seriously don't think it can work nearly as well in adaptations as it does in the novels, the shifting first-person perspective and dive into the thought processes of the two MCs are way too vital and the manga already feel very lacking without that. Not to mention that the anime will get literally nowhere in the measly one cour it'll get.
