Having magic circuits would be the worst thing in this situation. Even if you have knowledge of the events of FSN, that won't help you when there is an insane ancient bugman obsessed with reviving his bloodline by any means. The only hope would be to run off to Rin since she is the magus in charge of the land and snitch on Zouken's bullshit. But even that likely wouldn't work since Kirei would be in charge at the time since it would be right after the 4th war meaning that Rin would be too young to manage the land herself. Kirei would likely just throw you back to Zouken who would be pissed at you trying to resist his plans and Rin would never find out.
Nah dude you won't get wormed. Sakura is already the heir, 99% of magi follow the one heir rule, and Zouken would want his bloodline to continue so at worst (best) he'd plan for you to breed Sakura. Other than that, you'd probably be free and even encouraged to start your own crestlet research.

Zouken had gone insane and had already given up after the 4th holy grail war. The reason why he even bothered experimenting on Sakura was just because he had gone insane. He would have just pumped Shinji full of worms if he had detected any magic in him simply because that's what he would normally do and his rotted mind would come up with the excuse that it is another "contingency plan" just like what Sakura was (though not really because he already thought he would never get to use her). If he doesn't throw you into the pits immediately, he definitely would once he notices that you aren't being manipulated by him to attempt to break Sakura's will.
Also the worms do eat male hosts. It was mentioned in the original VN. The only thing that would "contradict" that would be Zero which was written by someone else years after the VN and even then Kariya still gets his insides eaten by the worms. Before you start talking about Zouken, he isn't a host, he is the worms since he put his soul into them centuries ago.
