Why does he suck so much? How am I supposed to take him seriously?

He tries really hard OP you gotta give him credit for that can-do attitude.
He should actually try to win with all that confidence he has.
I forget Bakura exists half the time.
Because he's still on the path to victory.
He gets road blocked by this fucking thing
You have to understand that his preferred board game is D&D and not Duel Monsters. He's a tabletop RPG enthusiast despite being an ancient evil god summoned on this Earth by arcane rituals involving the sacrifice of a town of thieves and the smelting of gold artifacts meant to harness his power, not a children's card game kinda guy.
Find a flaw.
I can see his forehead
He does but he sucks at dueling. He's actually much more dangerous at pulling strings.
So does he ever forced the Pharaoh to an tabletop RPG? If he does he probably loses right?
That's true. I like Bakura, but he'd make a better villain if he were somewhat successful and threatening with his plans. Until the last arc he only beat a weakened Pegasus and Bandit Keith's sidekicks.
Twice
I'm still not clear what Bakura's motivations are. Bakura to me is just a convoluted and edgy jobber.
He also beat those kids at the cemetery, to get their locator cards.
Twice, his intro arc in the manga was a tabletop RPG and the final arc of the manga was the millennium RPG. IIRC he even called the final boss of the first RPG Zork as well, sort of gave his name away.
yeah
yami uses the heart of the cheater powers in order to beat him
Nah Bakura lost the second time around because Yami was bailed out by Yugi and friends finding his name which was the win condition of the game since that summoned god and killed Bakura.
Yugi was his cheater power
wow okay this makes a lot more sense to me now because as a kid the scene in the anime was kind of retarded as fuck.
only joey's fake ass queens accent dub saved the show for me.
Yeah Bakura was already with them at the start of duelist kingdom in the manga, his intro arc had happened a couple of volumes ago. The anime never made much sense in terms of explaining how the fuck he got to the island apart from him being dragged there by Yami Bakura.
>joey's fake ass queens accent dub saved the show for me.
It's probably one of the more memorable va performances from my childhood, so honestly props to that guy for making it fun.
Bakura vs Marik is my favorite thing in this series
Kinda wished it leaned more into the spooky cultist monster game thing like this episode did. Obviously not enough to be inappropriate for kids, stuff like this episode really worked for me.
He beat THE Bonz, and sent his soul to hell. Bandit Chad Bakura is not to be trifled with.
That dumb two part episode at the end of the Battle City semi-finals? What the fuck was even the point of that?
Establishing Marik as the alpha chad of the show
something like a combination of zorc just doing the evil he knows best and his former life grudge against the pharoah monarchy for destroying his hometown?
He's got a good attitude, you got to give him that!
What are Kaiba's motivations? Just to win at cards?
>Just to win at cards?
Yeah
Post more Marik faces please
Kaiba is such a shitty character.
My collection was on my old HD so it's fucking DEAD
Episode 140 is a gold mine of Mariks though so rewatch it
