Personally I wouldn’t mind a whole shelf-worth if novellettes of GS learning how to more efficiently solo-clear gobbo nests and climbing the ranks at sanic-speed to the incredulity if the background characters, interspersed with Witch, Spearboy, Guts, and Prissy Knight being conventional murderhobos, Cow Girl and Guild Girl being cute and coming out of their shells, Anti-Rance being a team-hopping mother hen to other rookies, and the occasional one-off supporting char that has enough personality to make the ride worthwhile (and make you cross fingers that they’ll show up in a distant future mainline volume).
You have got to engage with series’ like Goblin Slayer like pulp stories; as the life and times of a hero doing hero things, no less and no more. Formulaic yes, but the formula is polished to a shine, and the true draw is the side spice and presentation. If you get tired of it, you get tired. But at 7mil+ purchase and still chugging steady, I think the world at large can stomach the rote for a while yet.
