I had an HxH dream last night where I was Hisoka but I was chilling with Illumi. Anyways lots of random dream shit was happening but at 1 point Illumi stuck a needle into some random woman nen user and it actually fed her extra aura / made her stronger but it wasn't a mind control / puppet technique. Do you think that's a potentially cool ability for Illumi or other nen users? Being able to buff comrades / other people with his own aura and make their hatsu's or defensive nen capabilities stronger just by needling them? Not exactly the most original idea but I thought it was pretty neat and Togashi hasn't really done much stuff like that

The aura boost he got from sticking a needle in...My idea was a bit milder though, maybe similar or a bit stronger than Knuckles APR but without the interest payments...In practical usage it could be like Gon being able to do Gon-san tier Jajankens (maybe a bit less than that) in his normal form or maybe just getting a few free Hatsu's without having to spend any of your own aura..Hell I could see someone like Cheadle having that kind of ability..We really haven't seen all that many support-type nen users in HxH and it really is RPG~ish which is up Togashi's alley..All the strong offensive front-line Zodiacs being buffed or defended by Cheadle when facing dark continent obstacles is something I like too

There's a good chance we'll never see it anyways but realistically I imagine her nen-skills are up there with at least someone like Morel or potentially even higher. Succession War / Alluka is already heavily changing the name of the game when it comes to nen so I'm imaging the zodiacs have some pretty good shit up their sleeves...Everything about Cheadle from appearance to demeanor reaks of a support / defensive type to me though (ofcourse Togashi could subvert that). The fact that she's a disease hunter makes me think she does some pretty cellular type shit with her nen though

I meant like an aura barrier / shield. Instead of being forced to use your own aura for defense, let a support type take care of your defense so you can focus all your aura on offense. I'm probably getting a bit to RPG/isekai type abilities . I played a priest on WoW years ago and I liked those type of defensive buffs on allies, or buffing other players in general was a massive part of that and many other games
