TENDOU
She was "blinded" by the 99th Star Festival, and could only think about going back to that old experience. There are different ways to interpret this, one is in the mundane sense she wasn't happy until she joined the new school, and the change in her life was so extreme that it caused her to be unable to let go of the initial experience, essentially numbing her to everything that comes afterward. There's a lot of symbolism with her blocking her eyes, especially taking the pictures right after the 99th play was performed.
When relating this with the play it's confusing as fuck though, because the only goddesses directly associated with blindness are Flora and Claire. The 99th play can be argued to not have the correct roles in the first place, because Nana never tried to get a role higher than Despair, TENDOU MAYA is Pride and Claudine is Envy (Mahiru got over Hikari showing up pretty quick and wasn't otherwise particularly an envious person, whereas Claudine's envy is cooked into her bones and Karen obviously isn't Pride. TENDOU MAYA thinks she's the best but there's no timeline in which she actually becomes a top star, hence Pride.)
Nana on the other hand becomes a Top Star, but then undoes it every single time by going back to the 99th festival. She also never gets what she wants, because "it's still too blinding". Essentially becoming a cycle where Nana climbs to the top, is blinded, and ends up back at square one again. She has elements that resemble both goddesses and Despair. Meanwhile TENDOU MAYA and Claudine are frauds while one among Hikari/Karen is an outsider to the play, it makes it very unclear who Claire/Flora/Despair are supposed to be. I almost think they're the same person, represented by Nana being the only character to get two weapons.

Quality post. Thanks user.
>Hikari and Karen throw things into disorder and take the role of Claire and Flora themselves
>they scale the tower, Karen/Flora is cast back down while Hikari/Claire is imprisoned
>Hikari/Claire's imprisonment consists of reenacting the role of both characters independently
>before they did this Nana was the one repeatedly climbing to the top and going back to square one
The star is actually cursed. Both Banana and Hikari wound up in a state of personally reenacting Starlight endlessly by becoming the Top Star, likewise Claire winds up trapped in the tower. The star being evil is the twist that drives the tragedy of the play, both blinding Flora and imprisoning Claire. Goddess of Despair might be the previous "Claire", seeing as she knows about the cycle, but who fucking knows.
Season 2 when tho
Also are the plays worth watching? I've never been a fan of plays in general so I'm wondering if it's worth the time
Is it true, bros? Is Junna a loser?
Yes
Junna tries her best so she can't be a loser.
Her theme is good but honestly, Nana's voice actress is what drives all her scenes, which is all the more impressive considering the huge range of emotion her character displays. I hope she gets a shitload of lines in the movie and also becomes a regular in the industry.
Does Hikari just not give a shit about another lesbian stalking her girlfriend?
Hikari's actually pretty well-adjusted, just loyal. It's Karen who is batshit fucking insane for some reason.
Why was the game so shit
It was? For me it's one of the more enjoyable gachas.
From what I tried of it, it didn't do enough to distinguish the new characters for me. Just a lot of spinning its wheels with Seisho.
Did it have anything interesting going for it that's worth picking up for story purposes?
Hikari just kinda ended up becoming Mahiru's daughterwife afte the events in the anime
