Novels/series that would only work with an anime adaptation

I'll start: The Book of the New Sun

give it to MADHOUSE with Kawajiri directing it.

the Japanese covers are cool

This. The TV series is going to be an utter abomination.

>Hero travels to another world
>Alien creatures can look alien
>naked red alien babes can finally be naked

meh I'll just ignore the adaptation and pretend it doesn't exist like I do with witcher, dune and image related

Yep. It's perfectly suited for an anime. The live action series is doomed to be utter trash.

I prefer the Lady.

kek
it will be the worst adaptation ever

good choice
but the true best girls is whisper

Don't remind me...

Have a non-nip book ever got adapted into anime?

starship troopers and lensman off of the top of my head.

Yes.
Earthsea as well. Though both are very loose adaptations.
I'm sure there are plenty of others like the shitty Deltora Quest anime.

Starship Troopers bud.

I like the movie a lot, I hope the anime is good.
I didn't knew Howl's castle was a book and the movie was very confusing in some parts. I'm going to search for the ebook. Also I remember some movie that I watched as a kid about some nerd who got isekaied inside the mind of a dragon or something like that. Maybe that was from a book too?

Eragon? I don't remember Isekai shenanigans though they could just telepathically communicate. Maybe you're thinking of the Never Ending Story.

I wish there was more genreshit inspired by pulp. Sometimes you just want an adventure. Too much fantasy/sci fi is in love with its setting's minutiae despite the author not having the skill to breathe any believable life into a world.

It isn't neither of those, I mean an animated anime-like movie but I don't remember its name. The MC was some nerd guy from our world who one day awakes inside the mind of a Dragon in a fantasy world. I remember some knight saved him when he was an egg from an evil dragon and and there was also one good dragon that teach him to eat rocks to breath fire.

There's stuff like pic related fairly recently and historically Anne of Green Gables is one of the most seminal chinese cartoons of all time.

Holy shit. I remember watch that well over 20 years ago.
Just looked it up, it's called the Flight of Dragons.

The fuck is that. Why would they get the death note artist?

Generic isekai

the anime is more like the novel, but it still changes a lot of stuff.

>The Flight of Dragons
Thanks user, just googled it and it's that one. I was very little when I watched it and I only remember the beginning. According to wikipedia is loosely based on two books and its an american-japanese production. I hope I can find a download link for it.
