Keiichirō Ōchi (La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky, Hinamatsuri, The Quintessential Quintuplets) supervised the series' scripts. Mai Otsuka (Shakugan no Shana, Non Non Biyori, This Art Club Has a Problem!) designed the characters.

Shamiko in the anime is not portrayed as a lustful demon, yet. She is an innocent girl, who is forced to be an exhibitionist on occasion. Its only after Dark Momo shows up that something awakens in poor Shami.
