You watch old anime properly on a CRT... right user?
You watch old anime properly on a CRT... right user?
on a what?
Why would I watch old anime, when I could watch new anime instead?
Why do people listen to Beethoven and watch Alfred Hitchcock in 2020?
zoomer
>CRT
Joke's on you OP, I can't read
I haven't done that in years. The last anime I saw on CRT was Gundam SEED back in 04
>not using vinyl records
never gonna make it
Once you've watched old anime on blu-ray, there is no going back. Nobody besides weirdos would actually want to subjugate themselves to dulled-out, blurry colors and awful resolutions. Blu-ray is THE closest how actual 35mm and celluloids look, so don't tell me it's more authentic.
crts are trash. what a fucking meme
Old good new bad durr
>parents threw out of my crt while I was at college
it hurts bros
pretty sure CRTs are the reason I became half blind
>lain
>old
e-girl poseurcore
>no input delay
>based 4:3
>that sound when they turn on
fuck outta here
CRTs are for psuedointellectual redditors.
/thread
or you know, anyone who is over 20 and has grown up with them
holy cringeoli
The only way that would be useful is if you're watching VHS, and VHS is a shitty format that has always sucked regardless of 2000s-baby normalfag trendy nostalgia.
O-O-O-O-O-O-O-OBSOLETE TECHNOLOGY CHAD???!?!?!?!?!? I KNEEL!
Try watching an anime on a CRT through your phone's camera.
It's even more aesthetic.
Yes, how could you tell?
its worse than that if you're not using the right encodes, it actively harms your experience before you ever get on the screen. It's like watching PAL.
>properly
Get the FUCK out, Chiri
Lol. No. Fuck those heavy ass pieces of crap. Glad I got rid of mine in mid 2000.
Serious question to the people against CRTs. Do you actually not notice/care about the difference in older stylized media or are you just not old enough to remember how things looked?
It took me one retro game on an LED notice that things looked very tangibly different, so it surprises me to see so many people dismiss it
1998 was 22 years ago
I watched shit on crts and used VHS and I have no desire to go back to that. Might have helped that my parents were early in getting flatscreens. I watch older anime quite a bit but again, no desire to watch my downloaded files on a crt for the hipster credit. If anything that ones that are obsessed with the VHS and CRT aesthetic are the ones that aren't old enough to have actually used them when they were what you used.
I'm old enough but you have to have a basic understanding of electrical engineering to understand why CRTs are the way they are. It's not for quality purposes and at this point even if it WERE for quality purposes originally they would have completely degraded by now.
You are using proper laser disc format, right?
Rate my setup, Zig Forums. It's pretty soulful if I do say so myself.
I still use a CRT to watch free TV channels
brazil did it better
