Finally decided to watch this for the first time. Why the fuck didn't any of you anons tell me how legendary this show is. Xebec was too good for us.

Read the manga

Like said, read the manga. Then watch the rest of the season's and the OVAs. Read the Darkness manga last.

if you didn't know Zig Forumss opinion on it, it is because you don't lurk enough.

Imagine Yabuki teaching an art class on reflections.

I really want to but I enjoy how Xebec gave literally zero fucks for the anime. (Like how some episodes they'll establish a plot line and not even resolve it before the ED rolls.)

I've only just finished season 1 and I've laughed more times then I could count. It may be the best ecchi comedy I've seen yet.

this
read the manga first, disregard the first season entirely then watch the rest

I am aware the first season deviated a ton from the manga and that later seasons were better about following the source material but I still enjoyed S1 quite a bit.

cool, glad you liked it please disregard my shitty opinion

Are you new to anime and Zig Forums?

This is now a TLR butt thread.

I was manga reader from the beginning of TLR but that first OP is legitimately great. Great fanservice, dope song, clever use of credits to get high detailed shots of the saucy bits. An underrated OP to be sure.

In all honesty I found the first season of the anime to be lack luster. Having read the manga back before the loser-pussy-spineless MC with a harem became the most overused tripe of the 2010s, I started getting more and more bored of it with each new girl it introduced.
I get it, the author didn't want to ever progress the relationships between any of the characters so he just kept throwing new girls into the mix who all had gimmicks, but it still doesn't change the fact it got boring and frustrating real fast to me.

Then the anime doesn't even follow the manga most of the time leaving out character introductions and then just pretending they were always there later on when adapting later arcs. Fucking confusing.

Yeah, sure, it gave us loads of "you can totally see the uncensored outline of the pussy, oh wow!" scenes, but that's mostly a byproduct of Japan's ass-backward censorship laws and the never ending blue-balling that is having teenagers be the MCs because they will never ever just fuck already.

I just have a slew of probably unpopular opinions about to-LOVE-ru.

I reread this chapter multiple times and I never saw the one in the mirror.

When does this series get really ecchi? I've tried to start both the manga and anime a couple of times, but it seems to be a lot tamer than its legendary reputation. How far in before I'm seeing scenes like the ones posted in this thread?

darkness

>When does this series get really ecchi?
Chapter 15. Darkness ran in a different publication, so skip to that if all you want is all the T&A you can get.

For the anime, you can skip to Motto.

>(Dead)
Mikan is too sexy

>back before the loser-pussy-spineless MC with a harem became the most overused tripe of the 2010s
I remember people complaining about how it was the most overused trope of the 00s before TLR even existed.

Peek imouto.

The first season has a charm to it, especially the comedy and soundtrack fitting well together. And the character design and animation greatly improve with each new season. Also the OPs and EDs are absolute bops.

That's just a testament to how much more prevalent it became as the years marched on.
For a few years, it felt like that was the only thing being adapted that hadn't already been running for years.
