Denji has been a double twist on the standard protagonist in that he first didn't give a shit about anything but living a good life and didn't have any corny goals, but that turned out to bite him in the ass because just trying to live a good life and be ignorant cost him everything

At this point, I think it refers to Makima. What can the Chainsaw Devil do besides killing a lot of demons very painfully ? Makima can create contracts on a whim without needing to ask for the other party. And if she gets in a position to freely use her ability on all of mankind at once, she might be able to essentially will demons out of existence by asking people to stop being scared about certain concepts.
