I really hope we get a S2

Powerpoiiiiin

Sadly Tonegawa probably had his organs harvested after part 1 of Kaiji

Dropped the second I heard it was a different va than the one from kaiji.

Speaking of VAs, which series had the best narrator? Akagi's lethargic one, Kaiji's dramatic whiskey drinker or Tonegawa's cocaine-addled metrosexual?

Legitimately filtered. They each have their own charm, and you missed out on a really good show

I literally thought the same thing. I might even rewatch it a third time after I'm done with my backlog (NEVER EVER)

>after I'm done with my backlog
Can you post your backlog?

Literally the first anime I could relate to.

I have...
many
many
money
But...
NOTTO ENOUGH AT ALL!

>weebs get older
>we need to get moe grey haired self insert with good employees instead of the 14 year old with a harem

I fucking love Tonegawa. Haven't enjoyed a series this much in years.

>any more fkmt anime
lul

At least adapt Ten's final arc into an OVA or movie goddammit

Ten's final arc was a life changing experience for me

EBI

>life changing experience for me
what?
I've never read this because I don't care about Mahjong, could you explain?

Not him but the final arc is not about mahjong, it's about the ethics of committing suicide when you have a terminal, degenerative illness

It's a pretty existentialist arc, user. It made me rethink my life.
Still, reading the arc solated would kind of spoil it, you have to get through the previous parts first to appreciate the arc entirely. It's worth learning mahjong just so you can read Ten.

And a man who finishes Ten will go on to read Akagi, and the man who reads Akagi shall know Washizu. And knowing Washizu will set you free.

why don't you watch baki(2018) (akagi's narator VA) and kengan omega (kaiji's narator VA) to see some difference in narration. the tonegawa VA has little to none roles so i wouldn't know.

Compare the series themselves, not the voices in other series.

As much as Tonegawa us moe during the spinoff he is a real son of a bitch in Kaiji.

The moment when he gets fucking outskilled is amazing.

both of they are pretty good but kaiji>akagi>tonegawa in my fucking opinion.

I don't want to watch Tonegawa since I fear it ruins Hyodou's character which we're supposed to hate.

Hyodou in Tonegawa is still an asshole feared by all who work for him.

He is still the crazy creepy old man we know and hate, just a little more in the crazy side during the spinoff.

Nah, Hyodou is a more one dimensional villain in Tonegawa. In the main series we get hints that he wasn’t always evil.

They show Hyoudou as an old man who gets angry easily but also falls asleep during the day like an old person.
Tonegawa is always really tense when he meets with him because we're not sure if he will chop his head off or give him praise or a new task

>wasn't always evil
I must have missed these hints.
