The problem isn't that people read shonen it's that 90% of the shonen they read is from a single magazine and then another 9% is from maybe 2 or 3 other magazines. It's just extremely narrow taste. And the fact that it comes out weekly just makes it easier to shitpost about than if they read anything monthly.

I haven't been regularly on Zig Forums for years.

It's just annoying when a series ends it gets thrown in the memory hole until an anime adaptation shows up or something. Digging it up and then judging if it's worth your time is hard and even then there's no place to talk about it.
