I don't really understand the comparison with Monogatari, the only similarity is how both MCs help girls struggling with paranormal phenomena. Araragi and Sakuta are very different characters, and the movie felt like a poor man's Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu if anything

Dialogue is kinda similar too somewhat. As the abominations they too some kind of syndrome that was much more boring to see, because every girl had it (like how abominations in monogatari was different, the only thing that made those supernatural things possible was that syndrom). Also mai's sister and kanade sucks fucking ass, worst characters on the show.

The entire structure is different from Haruhi Suzumiya. Kyon doesn't really resolve problems of other girls, and the cause for paranormal stuff isn't vague like mythology references or science for dummies that is reflect by "atmosphere" set by high schoolers. The cause of everything paranormal from outset is established as Haruhi herself, she's a goddess, weird shit happens because of her.

Whereas Bunny Monogatari is a direct reflection of real Monogatari, just trying to apply its paranormal elements with incorrect, badly researched, 1 wikipedia check science.

Yes, that the MC is different doesn't do much if the premise and the journey is kinda the same.

MC is not even different, Sakuta is just lesser Araragi. He's like MCU version of Araragi because he talks exclusively in smugly and quips.
