>Having Kira's piece be the fucking Hamburgler
Gotta admit, that was pretty based

Shitty VA that doesn't even try to sound like a boy.

Because you can't replace L with another edgy kid who think he can play toys if he is smart.

>Why do brainlets like this character?
Fixed. After reading a manga with intelligently written characters you stop being impressed with "He has 300 IQ so he is super smart, trust me!!" characters.

Because he literally comes out of thin air and solves the case. If he had been hinted at existing even an episode before he appeared it would have been a little better, but he and Mello are such clear asspulls it's ridiculous.

Why does everyone hate this character?

He's basically just a less interesting L, who asspulls a victory, in addition to his own existence being an asspull.

Smoothbrains can't appreciate the beauty of young boys

>who asspulls a victory
explain
>his own existence being an asspull.
???

Only L self inserts hate him

>after solving the kira case he became a tranny
kek

Is Near's gender ever outright mentioned?

Well there can't be that many girls named Nate.

Yeah wtf was up with that? He outright looked like a chick with boobs there.

what is there to like about near

There also aren't many guys called "L".

Not even his creators like him, they wanted to end that shit with Light vs L but had to stretch it out so they created Near and Mello.

Not even the [headcanon].

this
who the fuck self inserts as L?

The autistic fans that don't self-insert as Light since he's more socially adjusted.

everything is self-inserting to you

Who the fuck self inserts as L. I can get self inserting as Light because he's sort of designed to be a power fantasy type character, but why the fuck would you want to be L.

>Who the fuck self inserts as L? I can get self inserting as Light because he's sort of designed to be a power fantasy type character, but why the fuck would you want to be L?

BECAUSE HE IS JUST LIKE ME

Didn't he asspull mikami's identity out of thin air

>Didn't he asspull mikami's identity out of thin air

Read the manga, the anime doesn't do a good job of explaining it.

in the anime it is a literal asspull and everyone who thinks it's bullshit is right, but i believe ch. 91 in the manga has an explanation.

I'm pretty sure the creators said they planned for the series to be 108 chapters long.

Then why does Bakuman have the protagonist writer/artist duo want to end Reversi with the final match between the two main characters and it's a whole thing for a couple chapters? It's clearly the feelings of the creators about their previous work cropping up in the next, since Reversi is an obvious stand in for Death Note.

user, if they wanted to end the series between Light and L, they would've, you know, ended the series between Light and L.
They didn't, because they didn't want to.

>light kills l, effectively winning.
>editor taps duo on shoulder, oi retards you can't let series killer win.
>ah, yes, ofc my overlord, here is two new characters that would make M. night shyamalan proud.

That's not how the manga business works, user. You can't just end a series if your editors and the company publishing you doesn't want you to. It was still popular and nowhere close to being low enough in the magazine's rankings to cancel so they had to keep the story going.
