I've said it before, but over time, his style gained in dynamism and a kinetic feeling, but lost in aesthetic appeal. I think it hit two peaks: The Shishio fight itself, and the first Enishi fight, with emphasis on form in the former, and movement in the later.
But by the end, it got too stylized, too round. Not enough to dislike it, but even Meteor Strike (one-shot that that was included at the end of the last volume of the original edition) looked unappealing to me. I never could bring myself to want to read Buso Renkin, because his style had changed so much for the worse.
