>Adventure ,02, &tri, last evo, reboot Partners are pretty stupid and just compliment the chosen child. Your average non-chosen digimon is either feral or smart enough to run a store.
>Tamers Partner digimon have their own distinct personalities and growth throughout the series. Non partners are almost completely feral or blood thirsty with few acceptions
> Frontier Digimon are the people of that world wholesale. They build complex cities and things of that nature.
>Savers Partners are the the same as tamers, non partners are on par with frontier
>Xros Wars Digimon their own characters with backstories, growth and conclusions to their tales. All seemed to be on par with those in frontier, but most didn't seem to be as technologically advanced as humans.
>Appmon They were their own characters, but they didn't really have much in terms of backstory or depth.
Idk, people talk shit on Xros wars, but it honestly had the best characterization of Digimon wholesale.
I don't care what anyone says, he was honestly the most diabolical villain in digimon wholesale
>abused the partner system for his own means >reversed engineered the xros loader for his own games >back stabbed and plotted his way to the top. >In the manga opened dimensional rifts to fuse with horrific amagamations from different universes to dominate the heroes.
Who even hates Xros? The last season yes but when Xros was airing it was really popular here and on /m/. Every week was anons praising it for saving Digimon and hoping it'd usher in a new era of yearly Digimon anime.
Jayden Butler
/m/ threads were great but you can't tell me it's a good series. Death Generals was poor and Hunters was a waste of time.
Logan Collins
Frontier only really falls apart in it's second half. The first half is really underrated. The Sephirothmon arc is especially good.
Noah Price
what was so bad about it
Jackson Flores
If you need to ask those, you haven't watched either of them.
Jaxson Turner
stop being a white girl
Nathaniel Richardson
I don't get your point. Xros dies after episode 30 and both DG & Hunters drag what was a decent series down.
Death Generals ruins Kiriha with the worst human character development seen in the franchise's history and turns Nene into pure fanservice by dumping her partner and rendering her only purpose in the story irrelevant. Hunters is 25 episodes of nothing with a hastily arranged crossover thrown in at the end.
Ian James
>with the worst human character development seen in the franchise's history That's not Nene
Jaxson Rivera
Kiriha's was far worse because it only happened in one episode and was done in such a completely out of character manner it made no sense.
Liam Gray
we got excellent shoutmon, ballistamon, and Beelzebumon development though.
Best digimon development though. Focus wasn't on the humans this time around
Ethan Scott
Yes, the Digimon focus and development was one of Xros's few positives. That shouldn't mean the humans are sacrificed though.
Aiden Ward
It least it was something compared to Nene who didn't even need to grow as a person yet still gets rewarded for it.
Juan Lopez
honestly they are what we came to this series for, I am tired of monster series focusing too much on the human characters.
Grayson Reed
She didn't get rewarded though. Her only moment of purpose in the entire second half (to save her brother) gets stolen from her by Taiki. Nene is close to useless for most of DG.
That wasn't really my point on that regard. Xros's human characters are shit, I won't deny that. The manga version was significantly better in how it handled both humans and Digimon.
Ryan Price
better than agumon being a complete fucking derp in adventure and having all the focus on tachi, I mean common.
Justin Gray
I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make there.
Jordan Edwards
Really? I got hyped for it as a kid because it was digimon but lost interest after ten or so episodes. Can't even remember most of it, just that there was a train and that dumb fat kid.
Justin Murphy
Nice try Frontierfag. Every digimon past Tamers sucks ass.
Julian Roberts
Frontier's Digital World was genuinely brilliant though.
Isaiah White
The reboot has them have more personality though. They even had lives before meeting their partners as opossed to just being created for them like in the original one
Gavin Brown
>The reboot has them have more personality though. Piyomon is still shit
