Beast Wars came out in the 90s when CGI was new. There's no excuse for modern shows.

I'll be happy when they make the animation consistently good and stop artificially limiting they playback framerate of the cgi bits. Beastars looked awful because it was a silky smooth 6 frames per second.

This is what makes CGI unwatchable for me.
It's all at fucking 5 frames per second.

the budget for beast wars was tiny it along with the studios other two shows reboot and shadow raiders they some how hacked together a CGI studio without having to spend 10's of millions on work stations and render farms

beast wars was made to sell toys and god damn did it ever yet some how a canadian studio with revolutionary new tech and a lot leeway regarding the IP created the best transformers series to date and forever changed western animation maybe even globally that it was completely possible to create a 3D CGI animated show that looked amazing without having to be some hollywood studio breaking the bank with a literal warehouse full of propitiatory computers and an army of staff to use them BUT HEY FUCK THAT let (((management))) steal millions and completely ruin the company the span of 5 years CGI should only be for the movie theaters unless its complete trash animated at 8 fps fucking god forbid someone makes an amazing CGI animation tv series even 20 years later in 2020 CGI is for being a lazy nigger and cutting corners in 2D trad animation or a fully CGI show that looks like a ps2 game yet stutters like a N64 game with to much shit on the screen even tho technology has advanced so rapidly fuck embracing it progressing forward and fuck quality lets be "cheap" and save money lets also completely ignore what a gamedev studio can create with the same budget

China won CG battle, japan is far far behind. The one of reasons of why Chinese 2d animation still not developing too swiftly is because chinese 3D is just too good and they produce dozens of high quality 3D cartoons each season.

Meanwhile Japan always was like 20 years behind the world in CG (not counting Square Enix)
