In before some American starts talking trash about Japanese and their unwillingness to open up and being to prideful, rigid, meanwhile the US is all about sharing your emotions and yet has nutjobs run rampant.
Parents have a very difficult time recognizing that their children may need psychiatric help. Partly it's because of their roles as parents, and being at least partially responsible for any psychological problems of the children.
Partly it's because the kids grow up under their care and develop these problems gradually, which is difficult to notice for what it is.
So unless something big happens that forces the parents to realize that there's something wrong or somebody else forces the recognition upon them, parents will probably not acknowledge anything.
Do you need your parents helping you to make friends?
she had a lot more wrong with her than just her inability to make friends
It's due to Japanese unwillingness to open up and being to prideful, rigid. Meanwhile the US is all about sharing your emotions.
She's just gay. There's nothing wrong with her. And no she isn't "prison gay" either.
>Why did her parents neglect her mental health so badly?
Because they are busy taking care of their chad son
She's possibly bi, not just gay though, she's shown clear attraction to males.
why did yours
Because Japan hates and shames therapy.
Bad mental health is velly gleat dishonol.
>mental health
Go back.
I'm sorry for you that you got molested as a child, but just because you're a homo doesn't mean that the anime girl that you project yourself onto is a homo as well. She's straight, as are all non-molested people, but prison gay due to incapability of interacting with guys. Sorry for your affliction though.
Yeah I also only get aroused around guys and try to grope them because I'm bad with girls, I'm definitely straight.
She's socially retarded and her parents had no idea what to do about it. Which is fine because there's fuck all they could have done anyway. It is, after all, her fault she's not popular.
>her mental health
Her actual mental health wasn't that bad, at least I didn't notice anything particularly awful in that regard.
>She's straight, as are all non-molested people
Never heard this before.
She clearly has homo tendencies. She's not just sexually frustrated.
Was she autistic? I've only watched the anime but it seems like she was on the spectrum
mental health is a meme in Japan. They even think gayness is just a phase
Some forms of gayness are a phase. Tomoko's certainly is.
>Some forms of gayness are a phase
What? Explain this
In Japan, it's often referred to as class S.
en.wikipedia.org
Regardless of the science behind it, since the nips think it's a thing and Tomoko is fictional, it is relevant.
But it seems to be true since even among gays, homosexuality during puberty is a recognized thing.

parents don't know shit
the real question is why hasn't her brother popped her cherry yet, being a virgin is her biggest problem
based japan
>They even think gayness is just a phase
japan can't getting away with being so right every time
a lot of gay people would just end up on marrying and having children anyway even in the west, before the whole gay rights thing. even today I bet many still do it and live their lives in the closet.
and anyway homosexuality is not a yes or no thing, it's a sliding scale, and no one is 100% gay or straight. it's just some modern people made their sexuality into their whole identity
>never have sex
>still try to belong to a group of people based on whom you WOULD fuck if you ever did get laid
These identities are so fucking retarded. I wish people would just shut up about them.
Older sisters are messed up in the head, trust me on this one.
Who the FUCK would want to read a manga about her family seeking a constructive, healthy, and wholesome solution to Tomoko's issues? I don't want a damn Oprah manga. (Although I'd lmao if there were a Tomoko in therapy arc. I'd love to see her go full out on her creepy obsessions and see the therapist's face just go blank with horror and contempt).
Based and redpilled.
