That is a hole digging machine (looks like a drill going straight down). Sis decided to help the club because her younger sister asked her to. Perhaps there are fishes underground, or digging might help sis with her research in other ways. There already is one ghost fish floating to the right of her ghost fishing pole, so another dream sequence for chapter 20 wouldn't be out of the question. Sis also apprears to not be wearing her usual clother with a tie under her labcoat.
I hope fixer loli gets involved, maybe she will try to "fix" the hole by filling it up, or maybe she doesn't like people messing with ghost fishes. Either way I just hope we get some actualy stuff happening in the next chapter or at least set up for stuff to happen in ch20 (end of vol 2 presumably)

They were neither, but I think them being lovers would've been a possibility in a non-apocalyptic world. There is that bonus chapter drawn by tkmiz where they end up watching a movie in a theater and Chito imagines herself and Yuu in place of the movie characters living a normal life in the world of the past (our present) with them about to have sex. So who knows, maybe it applies to their Shimeji Simulation counterparts.
