Beastars

I know we've probably already been over this in the weekly, but what the FUCK is this? When was this decided? WHY was this decided? He's a crossbreed not a fuckin octopus, why isnt one good enough?

He is part cat so he has 4.5 lives.

Just enjoy the shark ride.

it's a metaphor. he didn't even shot himself in his heart so it wasn't go be a OHKO

>why isnt one good enough?
it wasn't literal user

As far as Paru's bullshit explanations go this is pretty tame desu

I'm afraid it was.

It’s only 9mm

Melon dropping the hard truths.

>memelon is threatening suicide for attention (again)

Wowie zowie I'm sure excited for another chapter of Cringestars!
I wonder what Memelon the faggot fruit has in store for us today!

Name a Beastars character worse than Melon. You can't do it.

his dad

I don't blame him. He stuck his dick in crazy then bounced.

actually you need 10 bullets to kill Melon because he has 9 leopard lives and 1 gazelle life.

>10 in binary = 2
Kino

im just glad that this arc is almost over

>im just glad that this arc is almost over
50 chapters more

Melon is getting an insane push for how dumb of a villain he is

When he was first introduced? IIRC Yahya shot him once on their first meeting but he didn't die and got away because 1 bullet is not enough to kill a half or something, he says.

whose gonna hit you if they catch you smiling user

He’s being metaphorical; each bullet is for one of the “halves” - one for the leopard, another for the gazelle.

kyuu

I think it's more symbolic indication that melon's struggles and hardships from being born a hybrid have made him someone very tenacious and hard to bring down as opposed to an actual fact that hybrids need to be double-tapped to die.
Why do people hate melon so much? He's written a lot worse than Riz, sure, but when you compare him to any other shonen villain I'd put him probably above par. He's pointlessly edgy but you can at least see why he's a nutjob. He serves as a decent foil to the main character and his motivations and actions give insight into the flaws of the world of beastars as a whole. The only major issue I can see is his retarded plot armor.

That is exactly retarded enough to be in this manga.

I don't find Melon interesting enough to warrant his cancerous takeover of the whole manga. I liked him at first but then he got intertwined with Haru, and the Shishigumi (Louis by extension), on top of clashing with Legosi a few times. You can't escape him in the manga these days.

How was he intending to kill Legosi with the one remaining bullet according to his own logic then?

He already shot legosi a while ago

Lego's a 2nd gen hybrid. So does it take 1.5 bullets to kill him??

no, 4

Riz was great. He’s dark legosi. One that legosi very well could be if only he wasn’t so sensitive/lucky.
What is melon? He’s like a dumb psychopathic hybrid. What’s the interest in him from a story standpoint? He’s the kid legosi and haru COULD have (except not really since none of them are that crazy), and he’s some sort of crime lord.
It’s part of the problem of paru doing some weird vigilante/batman thing out of beastars instead of focusing on the school setting. As soon as she did that, the entire relationship chart got fucked up, and there’s no real reason for legosi to fight these weird super criminals in Gotham city to rule it(??). The story is fucked.
Melon is bad out of purely structural and emotional reasons, he is a very bad foil to legosi.
