At that point I'm not sure to what degree Moe had grasped why Pickup-pai dragged Ichi along but at the very least she calculated that it wouldn't be good for either of them if Pickup-pai thought they were close at all, and at that point she was probably right.

Then Pickup-pai made it clear he was trying to use him to get closer to Yamada and had him cornered regarding her LINE so she realized that she had to bail his ass out (and probably that she just didn't want to be there anymore regardless) and went so far as to say they were friends in order to do so.

Its hard to tell in this chapter, but it seems like Moe was out with those guys before Ichi showed up. You dont see either girl until they're all sitting down at the diner

I like how she wrote that scenario in that Moe has a motive of her own ie. getting closer to Nanpai senpai instead of immediately doing the predictable thing like mentioned.

It's only after she observed that there was no chance of her to butt in since Nanpai was only interested in getting Anna's LINE that she decided to bail Ichi out.

She probably got picked up while on her way to Nyaa's place. She wanted to sit closer to pickup-pai before he made it clear he was only interested in getting Yamada's LINE, so she was probably feeling bummed out she only got picked up to be used to get closer to Yamada before he found Ichi

I dunno, this is a lot of guesswork we have to do because so much simply wasnt shown on the page. I'm hoping we get some dialogue reveal about these things later

Nah, the vibe I get is that hanging out with Pickup-pai and co in hopes of getting closer to him was her plan A the whole time and it was only when she had to grab Ichi and push the emergency eject button that she decided to hang out with the girls.

Kaguya hasn't been the same lately. It's so obvious that the author puts in more effort in his other manga.

I wouldn't say anyone was anti-Moe before, but they weren't sure on where she landed on the scale from "good girl" to "basic bitch." This chapter clearly established her as "wants to be a basic bitch but is too good of a girl to fully commit to the bit."

It's also possible she pretended not to know Ichi to try to hide his friendship with Yamada. She's one of Yamada's best friends and if she didn't know him, then he probably wouldn't be close with Yamada either.
Her asking to swap seats could be seen either as her trying to get closer to pickup-pai or her trying to get Ichi a bit farther away from him.

As amusing as it would be if this fanart was canon, I'm pretty sure she's not in the loop on the progress they've made since break started (she apparently didn't even see Yamada ask him on the not-a-Christmas-Eve-date, it was just Nyaa who caught that one,) otherwise she'd probably have handled their conversation differently.
