Chapter spoilers paint a grim picture

Year: 2131. Tôta wakes up in the sea, covered with scars and with one arm missing, after an ellipse of 43 years. He lost his memory. As Toyota, he got hired on the orbital tower rebuilding site, with the idea of earning enough money to climb to the top once it was repaired. This is its sole purpose. But where does this obsession come from? Will he recover his memories?

The chapter will contain 2 additional pages.

Neat

I stopped giving a shit about this series very shortly after it became a monthly book.

And most of the main cast hit undefeatable godlike status around the second year.

That sounds like shit.

It feels like Akamatsu lost interest with the pacing of the story, the content of the story (switched from battle shounen back to battle harem) and the thing overall when he was adding back Negima characters to satisfy his autistic need to finish up Negima while also writing UQ Holder, undermining the integrity of the story and confusing its identity. It's unfortunate because 5 years ago it seemed like he was going for kino but then dropped the ball sometime in 2016 and never picked it back up.

I'm guessing he's just gonna retire from manga, or do something cheap like "Lova Hina: second generation" about Keitaro's kid to cash in on the '90s manga nostalgia wave.

>twittershit
fuck off newfag

He keeps changing the genre of his series. I liked Negima until it turned into a very typical, by the numbers, shonen battle manga with powerups and useless side characters.

I thought at first UQ Holder was going to be more of a fantasy based comedy with monsters until the train training arc began, and then Negima characters showed up as villains and it also sort of turned into the same old shonen I have seen a thousand times before. The monthly switch killed the pacing for me and I could never keep interest beyond that.

Nips love Twitter retard

How many chapters do you think are left?

I put it on hold when it he started using it to end Negima. The story about immortals was good but then he hijacked his own manga.

Maybe now he'll understand that not matter how much you like a genre that doesn't mean you are good at it. His forte was the romcom genre, so hopefully he can write something good like Love Hina again.
I'm expecting that something similar will happen to Kaguya's mangaka Akasaka after Oshi no Ko fails and he gets forced into writing romcom manga again.

Id read a love hina spinoff about the girl that moved in at the end

My guess is 5-6, definitely less than 10 though

>and the thing overall when he was adding back Negima characters to satisfy his autistic need to finish up Negima
I think this was on the fans.

Is Evangeline at least going to have a happy ending? I don't care about any of the other characters. Haven't read this in years.

It's funny because there were people screaming that he should include more negima elements, but then when he did they never gave a fuck because they didn't want to 'know' how negima ended for Akamatsu, probably because it wasn't their favorite girl winning.

>oshi no ko fails

Imagine being this spiteful when Kaguya is still ongoing and instant bullet was decent.

>d-do I fit in guys?

Dropped it after the ghost guy, who ended up winning the MCbowl?

She already has one, this is alt universe non-canon. Think about it, if it were the same cast we read and followed in Negima where the fuck is Asuna? They never even bring her up either it's like she never existed.

It's not that clear.

>after Oshi no Ko fails
First volume sold more than 40k in like 10 days, it's not going anywhere.

>Soon
>5-year, 60 chapter final arc
Yeah, sure. I'll believe it when I see it.

She does show up though? Did you even read this?

doesn't this take place in the universe where Asuna woke up late?

>switched from battle shounen back to battle harem
Battle harem was always more interesting and more marketable for Negima. Ken's battles were rarely highlights; the most interesting parts are when the main characters reveal new spells and things, but he never really gave them interesting strategies that would make the battles and fights themselves interesting.

>he was adding back Negima characters
Kind of a given considering Eva is the main heroine/love interest and it's set in the same universe, but it's also an indictment of his inability to write a new cast. The same kind of stock characters keep getting reused.

I just pray Evangeline finds happiness with Negi at the end of all this.

>She already has one, this is alt universe non-canon
Her happy ending was "chasing after her beloved in multiple universes." Is that Touta?

>His forte was the romcom genre, so hopefully he can write something good like Love Hina again.
>Love Hina
>good

honestly uq holder was very shitty i loved love hina negima mahora festival arc till rakan training after that i hated the fentire magical arc and after reading 30 after of uq dropped hard honestly wish akatatsu next manga is comedy or llight hearted instead of battle

All of Ken's manga are bad. All of them.
I appreciate him protesting the Tokyo bullshit back in the day but that's the only good thing he's ever done.

Ryokutya only said it looks like it will end soon based on the contents of last month's chapter. He didn't confirm anything.

Is it in a position to end naturally or is it like Negima with a clearly rushed shitcan ending?

Didn't Negi already have a wife? And in the original universe, Negi definitely married someone else so the original Eva decided to shift dimensions or something.

I don't see any point for Touta or Eva to somehow be happy by making them fit together in this universe. They both wanted to be happy, but the story decided to punish Touta for existing.

I thought Asuna literally showed up and talked to Touta in one chapter though?

Negi either married both Nodoka and Yue, or Chisame, but they got killed by the Mage of the Beginning which is when he finally settled for Evangeline.

Same, I liked Love Hina, I liked Negima until they went to Mars, and I just cannot stand UQ Holder

I blame Kirie

#rekt

No Chisame became a jobless neet for the rest of her life.

Some earlier stories suggested that Negi would end up with Konoka

I hope it's shitcanned and the Negimeme saga finally ends. 17 years of disappointment and blueballing.

She was the only good girl though. Summertime Rendering has a better version of her powers though.

>tfw genuinely liked Touta, but hated the haremshit and most of its members and just wanted them to keep the focus on his relationship with Eva
I'm not sure if I should feel disappointed or relieved it's ending

Negima had potential until it went full retarded with battle shounen. I always laugh at those faggots who were gushing over SS3 Negi shit
