I was around for the early days of Bitcoin (bought in under $1) I don't wanna talk about it too much because it hurts a lot. Like I wanna kill myself just even thinking about it. Monero is the only thing in life that gives me hope. Please don't do this to me.

I dunno' how people can't see this as a risk on anything related to Ethereum since they reversed the DAO hack, it's expected by the community that transactions will be reversed and addresses blacklisted if deemed stolen, probably going to be slippery-sloped into blacklisting addresses considered problematic or toxic, just look at all the virtue signaling vitalik does on twitter

"The masses" don't see the value in Bitcoin, they just saw a money number going up and heard their nerdy friend glorifying it. The masses also don't even use Bitcoin. People who actually need to use cryptocurrency for its intended purpose, which is financial freedom (today, buying drugs), learn about Monero and then use it.

It hurts the price today, but there actually is an upside here. At the moment, Monero transaction volume has grown to a significant size outside of government-monitored institutions. Each transaction IRS or FBI knows about hurts the privacy of the chain as a whole: Someone deposits Monero on an exchange, the exchange reports the transaction to IRS, IRS knows all future transactions using that output in their ring are using it as a decoy. Same for withdrawals. So Monero has had a chance to bootstrap itself to high transaction counts outside of regulated channels. Government institutions currently seem to be realizing they fucked up, but it's too late to insert themselves as middlemen now. This solidifies Monero's position: future privacy coins won't have enough users to actually provide anonymity, so no one will use them for privacy, so they'll never gain enough users.

If you have an IQ higher than a chicken, learn about Monero and stop being ridiculized by pump and dump shitcoins.

Will it ever be possible to trade eth for xmr on a dex? I think polkadot is trying to enable this but I'm not sure. Haven't kept up with the crypto space in a while.
