Psychopass is absolutely fucking TERRIBLE

How is this an acclaimed anime?
How do people non-ironically like this drivel?
The girl is literally the worst main character I've ever fucking seen. She can't even shoot someone 10 metres away from her with a shotgun and literally lets an innocent person die.

> He gives Akane the opportunity to try killing him with Senguji's shotgun, but she finds herself unable to do it and is forced to helplessly watch Makishima kill Yuki right before her eyes.

Dropped this show harder than the fucking show writer's head when he was a baby.

>a girl with no training on how to use a real firearm and grew up in a heavily regulated society with no exposure to violence can't bring herself to shoot a man who's murdering her friend
Psycho Pass has plenty of issues and somehow you've named none of them.

Amerimutt logic killing someone who hasn't committed a crime yet

> no exposure to violence
> can't bring herself to shoot a man who's murdering her friend
Are you retarded or just farming a (You)? It's called human instinct. She knows how a fucking gun works, she's a police officer for fucksake.

So you would let a friend die in front of your eyes to a mass murderer even though you had the means to stop him?
Europoor logic, probably from Sweden.

fpbp

>she's a police officer
clearly you didn't understand the setting/world building up till this point so just stick to watching shonenshit and not using your brain

Psycho Pass is beyond retarded. What you've mentioned is just the tip of the iceberg.

> You didn't understand the show
> Muh rich story
> Muh convoluted criminal justice system
She is holding a gun in the OP pic as a trained police officer.
She is watching a KNOWN SERIAL KILLER hold her friend hostage and has a chance to shoot him.
She is fucking retarded and so is this show.

It was this moment, this moment with the MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER that it all boiled over and made me throw this show in the trash where it belongs.

>as a trained police officer.
trained to use a talking gun

By that logic what's more fucking sad then?
A woman that is incapable of doing anything herself
OR
The fact that she needs an inanimate object to do it for her.

Thats what you are supposed to feel, its another example of how fucked up their society is. Why am I even explaining this in a bait thread fuck

> Muh society
> Muh oppression
> Muh lack of self action
Suck my balls, the male characters in the show wouldn't hesitate to gun that serial killer down.

I wonder if this show is actually based and just telling us that women don't belong in decision making roles lmao.

OP is a retard but honestly the world of Psycho Pass makes zero sense. Even criminals that are targeted for extermination can be talked down from it with very little effort, making the existence of these death sentences on the spot
completely retarded. Even more so with a weapon that makes people explode and renders people who witness that unstable too.

Wtf you retard, don't you know that female police are a joke?

Human instinct which has been tamed and rewritten by society.

Shinsekai Yori provides a good example of this, when that boy Cantus gets sealed n' shit

Greatest anime of all time.

she gets better later on

Psycho Pass is just Urobuchi's poor attempt at imitating GitS. The show improves significantly when it drops the pretentiousness and just becomes more of a straightforward police procedural.

A character who the Sybil System has deemed LITERALLY, SCIENTIFICALLY INCAPABLE OF COMMITTING A CRIME can't blow a supposedly "innocent" (according to the Sibyl System) man's head off. Wow what a plot hole. How could someone with no violent tendencies whatsoever, who is shown throughout the series to be a dedicated pacifist, possibly not murder a person who she JUST learned has no crime coefficient?

The whole point of the scene was to shatter Tsunemori's trust in the Sybil System, demonstrating that it's even POSSIBLE for someone with no crime coefficient to commit murder, which she never would have conceived of previously, and didn't until the blade went across Yuki's throat. Also to introduce/confirm who the serial killer actually was (with the added twist that he was immune to Sybil's judgment all along). I'm not saying the show is perfect, but this is an absolute brainlet take. Also learn to spoiler faggot.

>Even criminals that are targeted for extermination can be talked down from it with very little effort, making the existence of these death sentences on the spot completely retarded.
Yeah, because diplomacy against a homicidal person is completely guaranteed in all situations.

>Yeah, because diplomacy against a homicidal person is completely guaranteed in all situations.
Just stun him and see what happens once he calms down. There is absolutely no reason for the instakill procedure to exist.

I think you've just about fulfilled the contrarianist checklist. Good job!

>missing the point
maybe they would try something like that if they were interested in moralfagging
what they actually want is a controlled, productive society

No moe they said.

>>missing the point
There is no point. Just like there is no point for these weapons to make people explode, making other people around unstable and target for extermination too. It's bad writing that only exist to be edgy regardless of how how little sense it makes.

Did you even watch all the way through? Sibyl is a gestalt consciousness. It decides who is a criminal or not, depending on how "not in line" they are with its combined moral principles. If it DECIDES to give someone a deadly crime coefficient, it's basically saying "this person is an animal of no worth to society" and has the dominator kill them as a way of taking out the trash. If you pay VERY close attention, you just might be able to ascertain that the setting is juuuust a little bit dystopian.

Where did this end up on digis favorite of the decade list?

oh my god he found the point of the show!!!
congratulations.

the point is that the gun does too much for them.

>If it DECIDES to give someone a deadly crime coefficient, it's basically saying "this person is an animal of no worth to society"
...until the person just calms down and the system decides there is no need to kill him after all. The logic already falls apart in episode 1.

Yes, because dominators send psycho-pass data in real-time. All Sybil does is process the raw psychometric data currently being transmitted to it. It's not deciding how much it personally likes the person.

this isnt a shonen, do you want her to be another generic shonenshit mc?

Firing a gun to kill another human can't even really be called natural human instinct, when ya think about it. You're not born with firearm proficiency.

But if we're truly making an appeal to human nature, Akane does just fine when she just gets tired of Shogo's shit and takes him out in the middle of a monologue by bumrushing him from behind and smashing the back of his head in with a blunt object.

Shitty bait but I'd agree 1st season is the only good one
