>Be Rob Lucci
>Rokushiki Master
>Uses Haki
>job to Rubber
How the fuck did he lose?
O MY RUBBER BODY
He massively underestimated G3 and took a lot of damage from that punch, which largely backfired on him later over time
Also lower Stamina that Luffy
Because Oda was still operating outside your typical POWER LEVEL IS ALL THE MATTERS in the story at that point before he gave up and turned Haki into generic power levels
The properties of rubber and gomu
He could have dodged it easily with Soru and Geppo and Kamie.
It's a shonen made for children.
Yeah, like getting stabbed, bitten, impaled didn’t kill him multiple times
>Be Luffy
>Future King of the Pirates
>Come within a hair's width of being frozen and raped to death by a chilly harpy girl
>Uses Haki
when?
Oh, look. Someone who forgot how Luffy vs Lucci played out. Lucci hit Luffy with his strongest attack, and yet Luffy still gets up anyway by willpower like the typical shonen battle manga protagonist that he is. At least you can explain Haki.
Rokushiki is all Haki
>Source: Dude, trust me
not the one you've been talking with, but it's fucking obvious. It's one of the various times we see Haki being used before it's named.
what was she thinking
>oda would never kill a woman so here´s my shot
makes one think that Oda#4 had potential, but he was just so slow
Unlucky bird showed up at the wrong time to survive
Luffy is a tough sonuvabitch. Thats all. Lucci didn't stand a chance.
what where they doing in that dome??
Nope, Oda said they're different.
The toughening ability is a physical technique, while armament haki is a spiritual effect.
Plot armor:
Lucci Took the first g3 and dodged the 2nd
Lucci barely used his claws
Fistfighting with Luffy is a disadvantage and Lucci managed to go toe to toe with a Rubber guy (it seems that he was trying to prove that he was better in a fistfight because he's smart and knows that a Rubber body has the upper hand, and he barely beated Luffy
Luffy was saved by destiny
Lucci didn't finish Luffy at the end
>Lucci didn't finish Luffy at the end
He did. Luffy just tanked the attack for long enough to defeat him.
But he didn't because he thought it was a joke attack. It's called plot induced stupidity.
Why did Kizaru shoot the key in Marineford when he clearly could have aimed higher and shot a hole in Luffy's head?
Why did Enel magically forget that he can move at the SPEED OF LIGHTNING?
Why did Doflamingo never try to puppet Law and Luffy?
Why did Cracker only make biscuit soldiers when he could have sent a biscuit clone of Sanji to Luffy and Nami with a bomb in it and blown them up?
O MY NAKAMA
Oda willed it.
It's literally just this. The fights are not realistic, and not meant to be. They are subservient to just about every other facet of the story.
It's actually somewhat justified by Lucci being arrogant enough to think that he could take Luffy's punch without a problem. He almost died right at that moment.
>>Be Luffy
>Future King of the Pirates
>Come within a hair's width of getting throat torn out by a cutesy genki bunny girl, because he ate her carrot
>Only thing that saves him is that one of his crewmates knew the only thing that would stop her... headpats, apparently.
fpbp
One piece is just a long string of asspulls user. You should know this by now.
>Why did Doflamingo never try to puppet Law and Luffy?
He did tried on luffy, luffy broke out of it.
Well, if you subscribe to a materialist view of the world (material reality precedes consciousness), rather than an idealist one (consciousness precedes material reality), yes, the "just will yourself to victory", "do the impossible", "kick reason to the curb" will stick out like a sore thumb. Especially if most idealism you're used to comes from "psionics" and other forms of magic, "karma" or "the Force" of any sort, "chosen ones" and other bloodline-type mystical autism.
