I genuinely think Demon Slayer has some of the best manga fights I've ever seen.
The Adam vs. Zeus fight was the peak of the series.
I still don't understand how went from that pure kino to the utter letdown that was Muzan. I appreciate how tenacious Muzan was but come on, that fucking " O MY MAGIC MULTIPLE EFFECT MEDICINE" shit was horrible.

There's something raw and physical about it. Maybe it's the fact that in the end one hit decides it all (decapitation vs 1 good hit from a demon)?

World Trigger feels like the master of the Reveal. It's a common thing, to have someone's plan or secret power or deus ex machina come to fruition for that dramatic shift that people love so much. The table turns, the hype revs up, and the big climax happens. But it's very easy to do badly, to have it come from nowhere and exist just in the moment for the twist. World Trigger routinely pulls of great twists and reveals and every single one of the is based off skills and resources both the character and the readers would know about. Rereading World Trigger is very rewarding because you start to see all the pieces that worked both in the moment they were originally brought up and how they laid the groundwork for future developments.
It's not for nothing the antagonists begin to respect the hero's superior infosec and communication. Major events in the Aftokrator invasions came down to the heroes learning about how their opponents powers worked and then working together to share and exploit what they learned.
Barely a fight.
