It's hard to find a good comic reader program, an internet browser is quicker and more effective, it's just about static pictures so it's not like you're losing anything either, you just need to find a decent enough site and ad blocker.

Exactly, get yourself a 10TB storage and go nuts downloading whatever you can. It's easy as fuck and completely worth the investment. Even if you're like me and like physically collecting manga from time to time if you just want to read something right now there's zero reason not to download the digital release or something a group went out of their way to make a non-digital release to look as good as it possibly can if it exists. 1% of the time it'll look as good as the best possible public site for reading it and 99% of the time it'll look incomparably better.

I download it on an internet connection and I upgraded my storage last year to those m.2 format thingies, really cool shit, 2TB on a little stick like that, so I store it on those and the kindle program stores shit on my regular boot ssd I think.
