Your gym is open, and you've been working out, right?

I've gained about 10 pounds this year
my progress
Lean mass or COVID fat?
Non-covid fat
I know I gained like 15 pounds of COVID fat.
I have dumbbells and a pull-up bar, why would I ever go to gym?
>Your gym is open
i wish, only 10 people are allowed in so you have to book it 2 weeks in advance
Because barbells and heavier weights are better.
I lost 10kg of covid fat :^)
fatty mass
I'm too autistic to leave the house so I just do pushups and dumbbell curls at home.
hell yeah, got my deadlift up to 610
>season 2 when
Nice job, my dude. How long have you been training?
>flaring your back
>belt
ngmi
It's his current max. There's nothing wrong with a belt or not having perfect form at that weight.
Thanks user. Been lifting for about 6 and a half years, first year being aimless and the rest focused on strength (obviously not aesthetics), though my numbers have gone up and down along the way.
I accept my fate
Oh fug, I think I misread. If you mean leaning back too much at the top, I don't normally do that but yeah it's not good, agreed.
>tfw no athletic tomboy workout buddy that let's you give her post-workout creampies in the locker room
The gym is not open, in fact I was thinking of getting a 24 hour gym sub during the winter but they literally went bankrupt and I'm a terrible night owl.
But I have been doing decent home workouts. Not built or anything but healthier than I've been. Lost weight mostly because I'm cooking for myself a lot more though. Less fast food or impulse shopping trips, more baking bread and using my rice cooker.
Yes, no.
Haven't been active in about 15 years since I stopped playing football, put on 8kg since then.
who else here is gunning 2/3/4/5 for reps, mastering the olympic lifts, running 5ks every morning, regularly performing Iron-Wolf/Murph calisthenic routines, obtaining a 5 minute mile and taking up a martial art?
Strength, Speed and Endurance are my priorities...
why would you need a gym when you can get all you need to stay fit for less than 50bucks at home ?
motivation perhaps ?
Because I want to do more than just the bare minimum of "staying fit" and want to be big bigger, stronger, and more aesthetic, which a gym better provides.
also, you may meet a cute, sporty tomboy that let's you clap her cheeks like in
honestly if your goal is being generally healthy, those plus cardio can be totally fine, lot of stuff you can do with dumbbells.
yeah not eating out makes such a difference, my trick is not having any junk food at home, forces me to eat well
>best ohp is 205 years ago, currently 190
>best bench is 342 a year ago, currently 3pl8
>best squat is 425 six months ago, currently 410
>best diddly is 610 a month ago
Man I'd love a 2pl8 ohp, such a rare thing
are all those for reps or 1rm?
my goal is 5x5 on all four, it make take a while, but im gonna make it, beltless as well...
Just on the offchance it helps an user, here's what I do to get gym girl numbers (has worked the couple times I've done it)
>get lucky and notice a qt consistently works out near you each week (or I suppose modify your routine a little for it)
>ask for a spot on bench or some kind of normal gym talk, get name, nice to meet you yada yada
>get to know them over a couple weeks with small chit chat, nothing major
>ask for number to hang out sometime
Can also be used to make friends with bros, no homo
I lost all of my motivation and gains I madr within 1 year after realizing lifting is something you truly only do for yourself and girls barely even care. Maybe I'll start again one day, I really liked the feeling of being big.
GOD i need a Hitomi workout-bro/post-workout cocksleeve and tension/stress-reliever...
oh those are all 1rm, I've done 6 reps of 5pl8 though. Beltless? godspeed, where are you at now?
>honestly if your goal is being generally healthy, those plus cardio can be totally fine, lot of stuff you can do with dumbbells.
What stuff should I be doing other than basic curls (which I probably don't even have proper for for)?
What do I need to buy?
I'm heading to fatty hell, covid is fucking me up. Aaaaaaaaaaaa
i play with my sewlf at home
My gym is in my living room, so it's always open.
Not trying to lose weight though. That would be unhealthy for me.
Depends on the girl, depends what you look like. Personally I know my gains aren't terribly impressive, but I looked like a skeleton before, so while it isn't as satisfying as I'd like, I know it's a substantial improvement.
Fell a bit off the weight lifting at home due to a minor issue but still use the bike every morning for around 30 mins, making sure to get a good sweat up.
yeah girls typically don't care, being fit/strong/whatever is more seen as a bonus to girls dating you in my experience, not a deciding factor in dating you
I'd recommend looking up online articles or youtube videos on "top dumbbell exercises" or something like that. Here are some ones you could get started on, and youtube is your friend for learning good form (watch 2 or 3 for an exercise just in case one is wrong)
>overhead press for shoulders/triceps
>shrugs for traps
>curls for biceps
>floor press for triceps and maybe a little chest, bench press would be better if possible
>rows for back
>french press or skullcrushers for triceps
>goblet squats or front squats for quads
>romanian deadlifts for hamstrings
>calf raises for calves
Not saying you have to do all of these, but just listing those off the top of my head to give an idea, lemme know if you want help making a routine fren
Yeah if some girl happens to have a muscle fetish or you happen to have qualities like a handsome face beneath the fat then it actually makes a difference
