hi guys serious question? other than the fact that the story is generic and boring
the thing that surprised me the most is how bad the art is i mean i jumped 100 chapter just to see if there is any evolution and there is litteraly nothing what the fuck ?
>other than the fact that the story is generic Kinda >and boring That's just your opinion user. Also, you didn't even read the whole manga, so you judgement is shallow.
Before I start, a small correction: KnY is pretty popular in other countries other than japan. Now to the main question: >why kimetsu no yaiba so popular in japan? The answer is pretty easy: the story is simple, entertaining and well executed and the characters are good. The anime adaptation was incredible and it made people notice the manga.
Ethan Nelson
There is not a place in the world where only good things get popular.
Blake Rodriguez
>The answer is pretty easy: the story is simple, entertaining and well executed and the characters are good. meme answer >The anime adaptation was incredible real answer
Joseph Watson
>entertaining and well executed and the characters are good. This is also an opinion though
Lucas Richardson
Apart from everything else, it's set in somewhat traditional Japan, fighting demons with a katana. Japan loves that.
Jordan Murphy
still dunno why they got dudes wearing suits when it's supposed to be a showa thing not sure I'm gonna bother finding out
Kayden Flores
Because it's good. Cope.
Leo Murphy
They had suits back then dumbass
Cooper Jenkins
>This is also an opinion though Correct, but it's something that many people believe since the manga is so popular
Chase Stewart
because katana's and demons
Logan Brown
>meme answer Sorry Jeremy, I found KnY's story pretty simple, I didn't mean to insult you. KnY must be pretty hard to follow for special people like you.
Gabriel Thompson
>ad populum By that logic Justin Bieber music and Michael Bay’s Transformers movies are also great
Bentley Wilson
>in japan it's popular everywhere
Nathaniel Barnes
Are you retarded? I was explaining why KnY was popular. I never claimed there was one correct opinion
Mason Miller
Ufotable. That's literally it.
Aaron Taylor
Are you? Your response to me saying “that is also an opinion” was well it’s popular.
Implying that your post here was correct because of that reasoning.

The series didn’t get popular until Ufotable animated it and that studio is incredibly popular.
Adam Baker
>Your response to me saying “that is also an opinion” was well it’s popular No. You are just too retarded to understand. You can think whatever you want about KnY. The point it that, since a lot of people like it, the main opinion is that KnY is good. Dose that make KnY objectively good? No. Is that an explanation of way KnY is popular? Yes.
>More ad populum Kek >Dose that make KnY objectively good? No. That’s funny because you dismissed OP’s criticism as just his opinion. While presenting your opinion as objective >the story is simple, entertaining and well executed and the characters are good.
Nathaniel Morales
That's doesn't explain why other manga with good anime adaptations aren't as popular as KnY >That’s funny because you dismissed OP’s criticism as just his opinion. Correct. >While presenting your opinion as objective Not correct. I just explained why it was popular.
Josiah Morales
>I just explained why it was popular. Yeah by stating your opinion as fact.
>That's doesn't explain why other manga with good anime adaptations aren't as popular as KnY Dude said Ufotable not good animation.
Ayden Ortiz
Well in Bakuman, they once said that "if 2 in 10 people like a series, it's considered popular" right? I guess it must be at least 5-6 in KnY case. You must belong to the remaining 4 people. KnY is not bad, compared to all series WSJ has published in the last decade. Along with the anime that made the anime well-known, the story is entertaining while remains intensive in battle scenes, there are few big-mouthed characters and not the mc, not totally following black-and-white concept, emotional moments (plenty of them in fact), easy to follow, suitable for both teenagers and the 20s. That's why people actually stay with the series after watching the anime. It's of course not, let's say, FMA-level of good, but it's good enough. At least for many people in Japan.
Adrian Brown
“The characters are good” the sister despite being a main character is just a plot device.
Jackson Adams

Dylan Moore
>why kimetsu no yaiba so popular in japan? thanks to his anime and normies praising it. Doesnt help that this is probably the best shonen in years but thats just my opinion
Dominic Campbell
All main characters anywhere are just plot devices
